Test accounts, anonymous patron accounts, etc. Superlibrarians would be the only users that could alter accounts marked as such. You should not be able to mark superlibrarian accounts as hidden. Regular staff would be able to see names and card info throughout the system, but they would not be able to view the patron record. At the moment, I see libraries putting in junk data (like '-' or 'N/A') to get around mandatory field requirements where it doesn't make sense for certain patron categories. It makes sense to have a default rule for these fields, and then individual patron categories could be overwritten with more specific rules. -- I suppose the difficulty at the moment is that we don't choose a patron category until we're already on the add patron screen. Maybe we should be making it a multi-step process. That would have its pros and cons of course. Current description: [Don't allow/Allow] checkouts of items reserved to someone else via SIP checkout messages. If allowed do not generate RESERVED warning. This allows self checkouts for those items. If using the holds queue items with pending holds will be marked as "unavailable" if this set to "Don't allow". Item is simply deleted and the item level hold vanishes as well. To reproduce: 1. Make an item level hold 2. Delete the item using alternative A or B: A: Open the biblios Detail-view -> From the toolbar, open "Edit"-dropdown menu -> Manage items -> Delete the item that has an item level hold attached to it from "Actions"-dropdown menu B: Open the biblios Detail-view -> Select the item that has an item level hold attached to it -> Click "Delete selected items" -> Confirm deletion 3. Notice that the item is deleted without any warning and the item level hold has disappeared 4. Run following sql report: SELECT * FROM old_reserves WHERE biblionumber = [biblionumber you used in the test] 5. This bug acts to correct that by implementing an optimized algorithm for picking the item at booking time to try and maximize the pool of available items for future bookings. We should send the logged-in library when enqueueing the notice. We should also high the notice from the Add Message form if the user is not logged in at the correct branch.
