[Bug 41953] New: OPAC hold groups don't show which group/hyperhold individual holds belong to
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 02 Jul '26

02 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=41953 Bug ID: 41953 Summary: OPAC hold groups don't show which group/hyperhold individual holds belong to Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: 25.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P5 - low Component: OPAC Assignee: oleonard(a)myacpl.org Reporter: sbrown(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com In the staff interface, a patron's Holds table has a 'Holds group' column with a number to indicate which group/hyperhold a given hold belongs to. This is important when a patron has more than one group, since it allows staff to see which titles/items are grouped together. However, patrons' Holds tab in the OPAC doesn't have information to distinguish one hold group/hyperhold from another. All holds that are part of a hold group have '(part of a hold group)' after the title and author in the Title column, but there is no way to see which specific holds are grouped together when a patron has multiple hold groups at once. This will be a problem for patrons who have multiple active hold groups/hyperholds at a time, especially when they contain different titles within the same group. There should either be an additional column similar to the 'Hold group' column in the staff interface, or the '(part of a hold group)' text should be amended to '(part of hold group #)' or similar. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 40680] New: Many warnings on Perl 5.40 due to importing methods from not yet defined packages
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 02 Jul '26

02 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=40680 Bug ID: 40680 Summary: Many warnings on Perl 5.40 due to importing methods from not yet defined packages Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: critical Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: victor(a)tuxayo.net QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Cause of the issue: https://metacpan.org/release/HAARG/perl-5.40.0/view/pod/perldelta.pod#Calli… It's a problem with the fresh Debian 13. (it's time we have actual support, CI for it was disabled due to some other issue) Ubuntu 24.04 has perl 5.38 so it works cleanly. But the next in 2026 will also have this issue. == Test plan == 1. Start a Debian 13 Koha: KOHA_IMAGE=main-trixie ktd up 2. Tons of warnings on start but it ends up starting (see end of this message for the warnings) 3. perl -c mainpage.pl 4. Tons of warnings again 5. restart_all 6. Tons of warnings again 7. Things seem to work though (checkout, checkin, search in staff and OPAC) == Severity== Critical because it looks like Koha is broken. And it will hide actual issues. One case in chat from someone upgrading. And us thinking there is really something broken given their output: https://chat.koha-community.org/koha-community/pl/gd8xbsx4p3gadpnk5h8c9n3bzy follow-up: https://chat.koha-community.org/koha-community/pl/w71jx511ppf59cfqezgy1fpcrc And me who though my KTD failed to fully start.
