The problem manifests in UNIMARC instances that use the default authority type codes and a Zebra search backend. AIUI, it has to do with 'Corporate Body Name' authorities using an authtypecode ('CO') that just so happens to be the prefix of another authtypecode ('CO_UNI_TI') used by 'Collective Title' authorities. Out of the box, MARC21 instances aren't affected by this. However, in the (unlikely?) scenario that you've decided to catalog authorities under different authtypes than the built-in ones and somehow managed to add new authority types that share the same prefix ('AUTH', 'AUTH_CORP', 'AUTH_PERS', etc.), then you will run into problems when searching as there will be no guarantee that filtering for the specific authority type 'AUTH' will return only the results you will be expecting. It would be a nice addition to add the option for some users to opt to override the rules at booking time in some cases. Example; You add a trial time rule of 3 days which should account for tardy patrons in your organisation returning the items at the end of their booking period. However, you're making a booking for a patron who you trust to return the book on time so you want to, in this case, allow an override to reduce the trail time. I'd suggest using the patron's home library as a preselection within the pickup library field in the bookings creation modal and to fall back onto the item's home library if the patron's home library is not available. Fridolin added ci_raw for type 'Std Number' in bug 31695 because of this, but I'm not sure that's the right approach globally.
