https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=41494 Bug ID: 41494 Summary: Rename "Koha administration" to "Administration" for consistency Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Staff interface Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: david(a)davidnind.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com We use "Koha administration" in only two places in the staff interface: - The label for the module on the staff interface home page - The page heading on the administration module home page Everywhere else, we normally just use "Administration", for example: - All the breadcrumbs for the areas in the administration page are just Administration > ... - The same for browser page titles in this area ... > Administration > Koha - More > Administration Change to just "Administration" would improve consistency, and is what we normally call it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 41742] New: Use of uninitialized value in repeat (x)... warning in acqui-home.pl
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 16 Sep '26

16 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=41742 Bug ID: 41742 Summary: Use of uninitialized value in repeat (x)... warning in acqui-home.pl Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Acquisitions Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: roman.dolny(a)jezuici.pl QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org The warning: [WARN] Use of uninitialized value in repeat (x) at /kohadevbox/koha/acqui/acqui-home.pl line 137 appears in the plack-intranet-error.log when entering into Acquisitions module. To reproduce in ktd: 1. Observe plack-intranet-error.log. 2. In staff interface go to Acquisitions module. 3. Warning appears in plack-intranet-error.log. It seems that the "depth" key in: sprintf( "%s", ">" x $$budget{depth} . $$budget{budget_name} ); has not been set previously. Several uses of "depth" are in the "CheckBudgetParentPerm" sub, which is probably not called anywhere. This part of the code is responsible for displaying indents in the list of budgets and funds in the "Fund" drop-down of the Acquisitions module. So maybe it should be the "budget_level" key or "CheckBudgetParentPerm" should be called? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 37661] New: Disable/Enable Bookings

Even if staff don’t have the manage_bookings permission, they can still set an item as bookable, but the “place booking” button won’t appear for them. It would be nice if the bookings feature could be set to enable/disable via a system preference, similar to EnablePointOfSale, EnableItemGroups, HouseboundModule, ERMModule, ILLModule, and PreservationModule. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 22707] New: Allow manual definition of AutoMemberNum range
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 16 Sep '26

16 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=22707 Bug ID: 22707 Summary: Allow manual definition of AutoMemberNum range Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Patrons Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com Target Milestone: --- It'd be great to have a way to tell Koha where to start when assigning card numbers via AutoMemberNum and to see what the next number will be. Bug 19263 introduced a feature that uses an authorized value to set up ranges of auto-incremented control numbers in bib records. Could something similar be used for card numbers? Ideally, this could also allow the definition of separate card number ranges for different branches. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 43337] New: Make error pages static
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 16 Sep '26

16 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43337 Bug ID: 43337 Summary: Make error pages static Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: magnus(a)libriotech.no QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Target Milestone: --- This idea was mentioned in Bug 11581 back in 2014, but I think it deserves a separate bug now. We are battling all sorts of different bot-attacks, and some of these attacks result in *a lot* of 404 errors. When the 404 error page is generated there is a call to the database to find the admin email and the page is rendered from a template. When the number of error pages being generated is high enough, this can overload the server and make Koha non-responsive. It would be better if these error pages were static and could be served without querying the database and rendering the template. If we want to keep the admin email in the error pages we probably need to generate the pages initially, and maybe once a day from a cronjob or similar?
