[Bug 18450] New: Renew in header bypasses hold block and renewal limits
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 04 Aug '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=18450 Bug ID: 18450 Summary: Renew in header bypasses hold block and renewal limits Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: cbrannon(a)cdalibrary.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com When you renew an item on hold, it allows you to bypass the hold, even if you don't allow it elsewhere. It also bypasses renewal limits set in Circulation Rules. Does not honor AllowRenewalLimitOverride preference if set to Don't allow. [Bug 33200] New: IndependentBranchesTransfers does not prevent holds from creating transfers
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 04 Aug '26

04 Aug '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=33200 Bug ID: 33200 Summary: IndependentBranchesTransfers does not prevent holds from creating transfers Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Hold requests Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: caroline.cyr-la-rose(a)inlibro.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com I noticed that when you have IndependentBranches (Yes), IndependentBranchesTransfers (Yes), and canreservefromotherbranches (Don't allow), holds can still trigger transfers. This is probably larger than transfers as holds should not be placed on items from other libraries with IndependentBranches, even if we choose "next available item". IndependentBranches/canreservefromotherbranches should imply "next available item (from this branch)". To reproduce, you must have - IndependentBranches, IndependentBranchesPatronModifications and IndependentBranchesTransfers preferences set to Yes - canreservefromotherbranches must be set to Don't allow - Circulation rules that allow holds and checkouts - Two libraries (I used Midway (A) and Centerville (B)) - A record with two items, one at each library, with barcodes, check out the one from library A - Two non-superlibrarian staff user, one in each library, with at least catalogue and holds permissions, this is what I gave them - circulate (all) - catalogue - delete_borrowers - edit_borrowers - reserveforothers (all) 1. Log in to the staff interface with the non-superlibrarian staff user from library A 2. Go to the record with the two items, click "Place hold" 3. Place a hold for a user, without changing anything (should be for "next available item") 4. Log out and log back in with the non-superlibrarian staff user from library B 5. Check in the item from library B, which should be available --> Hold is confirmed for patron from library A, transfer is created 6. Optionally, you can log out and log back in as staff from library A 7. Go to Circulation > Transfers to receive (should this even be available with IndependentBranchesTransfers turned on?) --> Item from other branch is there -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 42765] New: Add pagination to the checkouts table
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 04 Aug '26

04 Aug '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42765 Bug ID: 42765 Summary: Add pagination to the checkouts table Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: kyle(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle(a)bywatersolutions.com The checkouts table on circulation.pl and moremember.pl works fine for most patrons, but causes issues for patrons with hundreds of checkouts, especially if the table is set to load automatically. In practice, we've seen a patron with 200ish checkouts take about 10 seconds to load the table. If the patron is then checking out another stack of items ( let's say 20 ) it's possible to lock up the entire server. This happens because those svc/checkouts continue to stack up and use up workers. A fast enough librarian will be able to get to the point where most if not all workers are calling svc/checkouts. If it takes 10 seconds to resolve the api call, and 3 seconds to check out an item, the process will plateau at 4 workers being dedicated to just calling svc/checkouts for just that patron. Setting LoadCheckoutsTableDelay to a non-zero value works around the symptom, since the next scan's page reload cancels the pending request before it fires, but the real fix is to make the table server-side so it only fetches the recent subset of checkouts by default. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 18623] New: Send notification on creation of manual invoice
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 04 Aug '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=18623 Bug ID: 18623 Summary: Send notification on creation of manual invoice Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Notices Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: lisetteslatah(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org It would be nice if when adding a manual invoice (say for a damaged item) an e-mail notification could be sent. Currently to tell the patron without them logging into the OPAC or coming into the library we have to send the e-mail manually. This is time consuming if we have a lot of damaged items being processed at once. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 41607] New: Add ability for Koha to send a custom notice when a patron is charged/billed
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 04 Aug '26

04 Aug '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=41607 Bug ID: 41607 Summary: Add ability for Koha to send a custom notice when a patron is charged/billed Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Notices Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: michael.adamyk(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org It would be wonderful if Koha had the ability to generate a notice to send to patrons when their account is charged, billed, or incurs a fee. Currently the ODUE3 notice often functions as a billing notice for overdues, but it is connected to the overdue calendar and not necessarily when the longoverdue cron actually charges a patron, so it can take work to match the schedules. Additionally, it would be nice to have the ability to send billing notices for instances other than overdue items. It would likely need to be configurable for which types of fees, or what amounts, trigger notices and which don't, or only for certain types of fees. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
