[Bug 10662] Build OAI-PMH Harvesting Client
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 18 Sep '18

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10662 Andreas Hedström Mace <andreas.hedstrom.mace(a)sub.su.se> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Attachment #78914|0 |1 is obsolete| | --- Comment #200 from Andreas Hedström Mace <andreas.hedstrom.mace(a)sub.su.se> --- Created attachment 79039 --> https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/attachment.cgi?id=79039&action=ed… Bug 10662 - Build OAI-PMH Harvesting Client This patch adds an OAI-PMH harvesting client to Koha. The client runs as a daemon in the background. Users interact with the client via the Koha web user interface, which communicates with the daemon via a unix socket using a simple JSON-based protocol. The harvester ingests MARCXML. You can harvest other metadata formats, but you must use a XSLT to transform them into MARCXML, if you want them to be imported into Koha. You can supply your own download and import modules via the oai-pmh-harvester.yaml configuration file, but the default modules supplied in this patch should be good enough for your purposes. If they're not, raise a Bugzilla issue. There is a cleanup_database.pl addition, because high volume harvesting will cause the oai_harvester_import_queue table to fill quickly. This table is not required for adding/updating records. It's mostly just for general monitoring and audit purposes. [Bug 12141] On Display Module
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 17 Sep '18

17 Sep '18

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=12141 --- Comment #9 from Ed Veal <eveal(a)mckinneytexas.org> --- Based on the feed back I got during KohaCon2018 this is a popular idea. I think Khall had an idea for working the code and some others bounced ideas around but nothing was firm. As was stated in the OP might there be a good way to utilize the core code that runs Course Reserves and create a separate functionality that could be turned on or off via sys pref. to work with displays. This would allow public and academic libraries to manage displays in a more organized fashion. I was asked during my presentation at KohaCon2018 if this is just as staff workflow tool or a better way to display what is on display to patrons. By duplicating the Course Reserves functionality, it would provide the added benefit of having a clear Display link on the OPAC pointing individuals to a concise list of the libraries displays and items within the displays. Ok, Thanks Jonathan, I'll deprecate that last patch then. It looked like it had happened just after release and was a mistaken change to reflect the next team, but I'm more than happy to have been corrected :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 20217] New: Make header's catalog search menu into a split button
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 17 Sep '18

17 Sep '18

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=20217 Bug ID: 20217 Summary: Make header's catalog search menu into a split button Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: ASSIGNED Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Templates Assignee: oleonard(a)myacpl.org Reporter: oleonard(a)myacpl.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Depends on: 19474 When we turned the staff client header's search link into a menu, it added an extra click for those who want the advanced search by default. I propose that we turn it into a split-button type menu. Since the Bootstrap navbar doesn't include a built-in split button, my solution uses a link plus a dropdown menu, with some added JavaScript to tie the links' hover style together: http://zivotdesign.com/p/#1/15187161792537 Referenced Bugs: https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=19474 [Bug 19474] Convert staff client CSS to SCSS -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
