It's doing something weird in Ubuntu 14, Apache 2.4. Scheduling a task on Debian/Apache 2.2 results in the job being added, and it showing up in the web page. This doesn't happen on Ubuntu/Apache 2.4, it returns a "Failed to add job." It looks like Koha is asking atq for the list of current jobs (through Schedule::At) and it's not getting a list back when run on Ubuntu/2.4. This all works just fine in Debian/2.2. in /var/spool/cron/atjobs we can see where jobs are added: Failing job "Failed to add job", Ubuntu, Apache 2.4: ---------- 1 daemon daemon 2.9K Sep 2 15:19 a0004a016e87ae Successful job displays in the web page, Debian, Apache 2.2 -rwx------ 1 library-koha daemon 2.8K Sep 2 16:15 a00014016f1f52 When we ask for the euid/gid of the user when trying to add these failed jobs, it seems like it should be OK: uid: 1005, euid: 1005 Which corresponds to the uid given in /etc/passwd: library-koha:x:1005:1005 As far as I can tell, those daemon:daemon no permissions jobs aren't actually run - how could they, they have no executable permissions. Pretty sure this bug isn't in Koha proper (the scheduler actually works just fine in Debian/2.2), but some interaction or security thing in Ubuntu/Apache 2.4. It might be nice to figure out why it happens, so we can end run the problem (or decide to scrap the At reliant scheduler, which is probably a "should do" anyway). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Under "Checkout limit by patron category for all libraries" the limit is set to 5. This limit is not working. I was able to check out 7 items to Robert Harper (24388200094358)in the WTMP category Here is what is going on. We have the system preference CircControl set to "Use the checkout and fines rules of *the library where the item is from*". we also have this limit set to 5. So what Koha is doing, is comparing the limit to the number of checkouts of items the borrower has *from the same home library as that item*. If the item's home library is LibA, and the borrower has 4 items checked out whose home library is LibA, than the item will be checked out ( regardless of how many items are checked out ). If the borrower has 5 items checked out whose home library is LibA, Koha will indeed warn of too many checkouts. This does not seem intuitive. This also impact the performances of C4::XSLT::XSLTParse4Display. My tests (with Devel::NYTProf) showed a gain of about 65% on C4::XSLT::transformMARCXML4XSLT and 35% on C4::XSLT::XSLTParse4Display. The gain of performances is increasing with the numbers of results. I chose a date range of 4 months, then I chose a library, then I chose a single item type (DVD1week) then I chose 20 for the limit, then I chose "library" for the "By" part of the limit and go an empty list. So I went back and changed "library" to "Itemtype." Now the system just hangs up spinning away without ever giving results.
