[Bug 17704] New: OAI-PMH compatiblity with Ubuntu Xenial and Debian Stretch
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 16 Jan '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=17704 Bug ID: 17704 Summary: OAI-PMH compatiblity with Ubuntu Xenial and Debian Stretch Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Web services Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: fridolin.somers(a)biblibre.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Actually OAI-PMH in Koha uses HTTP::OAI lib from version in Jessie 3.27. This module is not compatible with version 4.03 which is in Ubuntu Xenial and Debian Stretch. You get the error : Can't call method "start_element" on an undefined value at /usr/share/perl5/HTTP/OAI/Response.pm line 114 This is because the method HTTP::OAI::Response::generate() has changed, it needs an argument $driver. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 17498] New: Expose system preference values to JavaScript in the OPAC
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 14 Jan '26

14 Jan '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=17498 Bug ID: 17498 Summary: Expose system preference values to JavaScript in the OPAC Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: ASSIGNED Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: OPAC Assignee: oleonard(a)myacpl.org Reporter: oleonard(a)myacpl.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org We process a lot of JavaScript in the OPAC templates, usually because there are template variable which need to be processed. Some of these variable, like system preferences, are a global setting which is common to many pages in the OPAC. I propose that these settings be defined in embedded JavaScript so that the scripts themselves can be moved to a separate file. In my proposal, opac-bottom.inc will contain a section like this: <script type="text/javascript"> if (typeof KOHA == "undefined" || !KOHA) { var KOHA = {}; } KOHA.paths = { "interface_theme":"[% interface %]/[% theme %]" } KOHA.preferences = { "BakerTaylorEnabled" : [% IF ( Koha.Preference( 'BakerTaylorEnabled' ) == 1 ) %]1[% ELSE %]0[% END %], ...and then an separate JS file will use those variables to conditionally load resources: if( KOHA.preferences.Coce && KOHA.preferences.CoceProviders ){ KOHA.externalResources.push( KOHA.paths.interface_theme + "/js/coce.js" ); var NO_COCE_JACKET = _("No cover image available"); } if( KOHA.externalResources.length > 0 ){ Modernizr.load({ load: KOHA.externalResources }); } I'd appreciate comments anyone might have on this system. My goal, if this works well, is to then add a JavaScript concatenation/minification task for OPAC js assets. Moving as much JS as possible out of the templates will help us take advantage of that minification. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=16721 Bug ID: 16721 Summary: Serial claims table too wide Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Templates Assignee: oleonard(a)myacpl.org Reporter: katrin.fischer(a)bsz-bw.de QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org The serial claims table gets far too wide, especially when new subscription fields are added to it. It should be possible to configure if those display or not, but it also looks like a general problem. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 18365] New: Appendix D. Notice & Slips Guides is out of date

[Bug 18962] New: Including valid system requirements in Koha manual
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Nov '25

22 Nov '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=18962 Bug ID: 18962 Summary: Including valid system requirements in Koha manual Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 17.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Documentation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: mik(a)adminkuhn.ch QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org According to https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_ubuntu_-_packages#Introduction Ubuntu 14.04 is no longer supported - but the information given on the page https://koha-community.org/download-koha/ still says that Koha is "Actively supported for packages: Debian 7 (Wheezy), Debian 8 (Jessie), Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty Tahr)". It would probably be a good idea to have correct and complete information about the system requirements of Koha at the very beginning of the manual for every Koha version as it is good practice for almost every other software. * the manual of every Koha version * the release notes of every Koha version (or a link to the respective manual) * https://koha-community.org/download-koha/ (or a link to the respective manual) The systems requirements can be changing with every new version, of course, thus it is not enough to say in the manual: "Full system recommendations can be found on the official Koha wiki along with the developer documentation: http://wiki.koha-community.org". I suggest the manual of every Koha version should include a section with the exact requirements for the respective Koha version, e. g. * supported Linux distributions * supported version of Apache HTTP Server * supported version of MySQL * supported version of Perl This would probably also be helpful for all the guys that are trying to install Koha on unsupported Linux distributions like CentOS, Redhat etc. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
