https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=18895 Bug ID: 18895 Summary: Lost Items Not Removed From Patron's Account When Charge is Paid Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: cslone(a)camdencountylibrary.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com Hi, There is a potentially severe problem when paying the replacement charge for an item if the item is still checked-out to a patron. For example, if your cronjob is set to mark an item lost and you charge patrons for lost items, using anything other than the 'pay' button will not remove the item from the patron's checkouts after the charge has been paid. 'Pay selected,' 'Pay amount,' Write off,' or 'Write off all' will take care of the charge, but the item will remain checked-out and marked as 'Long Overdue / Lost' on the patron's record. Additionally, it is difficult to identify these erroneous items if staff does not catch it them immediately, making it hard to correct lingering problems. To replicate: 1.) Set preference WhenLostChargeReplacementFee to 'Charge' 2.) Edit the record of a checked-out item to the lost status indicated by your DefaultLongOverdueChargeValue. Note: To keep the item checked-out, this must be done by opening and editing the item's record (not directly from the items tab of the bibliographic record). You can also use an item that your longoverdue cronjob marked. 3.) Confirm that the item is still checked-out to the patron and that the replacement fee was charged. 4.) Use pay selected, pay amount, write off, or write off all with the replacement charge and confirm the action as you normally would. 5.) The charge will be removed but the item will still be checked-out to the patron's record. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 22507] New: Modification of the Holds Slip
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 11 Mar '20

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=22507 Bug ID: 22507 Summary: Modification of the Holds Slip Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Hold requests Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: jzairo(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Some libraries have expressed wanting to change the format of how the hold slip prints for multi branch systems. Currently, when you check an item in, and a hold is triggered, when you print the hold slip you get a message at the top of the slip indicating "Transfer to/Hold in <<branches.branchname>>". If the item is not at the final location of the patron pickup, it is transferred to the branch pick up location. Once the item arrives, the staff member again checks the item in, a hold is triggered, when you print the hold slip you get the same message "Transfer to/Hold in <<branches.branchname>>". Multi branch libraries would like to have an option to either split this slip so staff can easily identify that it is a transfer or it is a hold awaiting pickup. Having "Transfer to/Hold in <<branches.branchname>>" at the top of the slip (even though it is at the final destination for hold pickup, is causing confusion for staff. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. When this confirmation is clicked the page reloads and the table of previously checked-in items disappears. The information in that table can be very important to librarians keeping track of what they've checked in or as a way to navigate directly to an item or patron. [Bug 24748] New: Workaround to enable installation of 19.11 on Debian 9 is missing from install docs
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 11 Mar '20

11 Mar '20

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=24748 Bug ID: 24748 Summary: Workaround to enable installation of 19.11 on Debian 9 is missing from install docs Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 19.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P5 - low Component: Documentation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: dwight.tuinstra(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org This bug relates to these installation documents: - https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Preparing_your_system - https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_Debian Since installation on Debian 10 is currently discouraged, I attempted a koha install on a fresh instance of Debian 9, 64-bit (i686) architecture. The problem occurs at the "Install Koha" step (https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_Debian#Install_Koha) The command "apt-get install koha-common" fails with the following error message: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: koha-common : Depends: libnet-oauth2-authorizationserver-perl but it is not going to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. This is a known problem, mentioned in bug 23128 (https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=23128) The workaround that is suggested there is to enable Debian 9 backports, as follows: 1) Create /etc/apt/sources.list.d/stretch-backports.list with this line: deb http://deb.debian.org/debian stretch-backports main 2) Run apt-get update Running "apt-get install koha-common" will then work. This workaround should be incorporated into the "Koha on Debian" document. Without it, installation fails. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
