This means that when staff look at the borrowers' circulation history, they see a returndate displayed, which is confusing. It turned out in both cases that the user accounts had expired. Is it possible for an alert to show in the staff client when trying to renew an items for an expired borrower? The alert shows if trying to check out items to an expired borrower but this does not appear from the renewals screen. I have had a look in the system preferences but can't see anything obvious. It doesn't understand MODS XML over SRU either. However, when configuring the SRU, an XSLT file can be provided. So: is there an XSLT file for converting from MODS to MARC21? After that the item is attached both to hold (reserves-table) and issue (issues table). The system should allow to check out an item to another patron than the one with hold, when item is attached to hold and is in transfer. This bug leads to unfortunate situations where patron with hold never gets the item.
