[Bug 18064] New: Long overdue cronjob does not follow the library' s calendar and skip closed days
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=18064 Bug ID: 18064 Summary: Long overdue cronjob does not follow the library's calendar and skip closed days Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 3.22 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Notices Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: jzairo(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org The cronjob that sets the Long overdue does not follow the library's calendar and skip closed days. However, the cronjob that sends the email (overdue notices) does follow the library's calendar. So as an example on a weekend where Monday is a holiday, the long over due may get set and chanrge the patrons account, but the email may be sent a day or 2 later. It would be good to allow the long overdue cron to follow the library calendar and skip closed days. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 28884] New: ElasticSearch: Question mark in title search returns no results
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Oct '26

22 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28884 Bug ID: 28884 Summary: ElasticSearch: Question mark in title search returns no results Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 20.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Searching - Elasticsearch Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: jyorio(a)equinoxinitiative.org When searching for a title with a question mark, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? for example, Koha returns no results with ElasticSearch. Removing the question mark or escaping it retrieves results, as does enclosing the entire title with the question mark in quotes. Since ? is a wildcard for ElasticSearch, this may be expected behavior (I'm not sure that it is or isn't), but explaining to patrons that they need to change their search behavior can be a big ask for libraries. Not sure what the best option is. Perhaps a system preference to automatically escape ? and not treat it as a wildcard for those libraries who would prefer that? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 26355] New: Tie account renewals to patron modification requests
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=26355 Bug ID: 26355 Summary: Tie account renewals to patron modification requests Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: OPAC Assignee: oleonard(a)myacpl.org Reporter: cbrannon(a)cdalibrary.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Allow patrons renewal reminders to link to the patron modification requests, asking them to review their information and make any any necessary updates if necessary, but acknowledging that the information is up to date. Create a check-box stating that they have reviewed all their information, and it is accurate and up to date (if no changes are made). Perhaps this check-box only shows when their account is due for renewal. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 27066] New: Implement Hooks for patron's updates
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Oct '26

21 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=27066 Bug ID: 27066 Summary: Implement Hooks for patron's updates Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Plugin architecture Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: eric.begin(a)inLibro.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Some of our clients use external systems to populate Koha's patron information. They can use Koha's API to update patron info, however, we don't have any way (that I know of) to notify an external system when a patron info is changed in Koha. In order to allow bidirectional communications, we are planning to add hooks. This will allow creating plugins to send messages to external systems in order to fulfil the following requirements : - Update patron information stored in the borrowers table (name, address, email, etc.) - Notify an external system when a restriction is placed on a user (fines, manual restrictions, overdues, etc.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 29016] New: viewlog.pl - Problem with many entries

It should use KohaTables with pagination/number max of returning entries like other Koha tables (API + AJAX wrapper). Test plan: - We need a database with a large number of entries in the action_logs table (200k for example) - Open view logs tool (viewlog.pl) - Select all modules and search - Timeout or a long waiting time -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 29800] New: Add option to calculate fines when an item is marked lost
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Oct '26

21 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=29800 Bug ID: 29800 Summary: Add option to calculate fines when an item is marked lost Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com We have the system preferences CalculateFinesOnReturn and CalculateFinesOnBackdate to make Koha calculate overdue fines as an item is returned, either in place of or in addition to the fines cron. However, if one marks an item as lost and has MarkLostItemAsReturned enabled, the issue will be ended without an overdue fine being calculated. We should add the option to calculate an overdue fine at the moment of marking an item lost. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 21214] New: cleanup_database.pl --mail should let admin choose which letter codes to keep

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=21214 Bug ID: 21214 Summary: cleanup_database.pl --mail should let admin choose which letter codes to keep Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Command-line Utilities Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: charles.farmer(a)inlibro.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: robin(a)catalyst.net.nz We are often asked if an email was sent to a patron, and despite not having 100% confirmation that the message reached the person, it feels bad when fines are attached to it and no information's left in the database for our librarians. A new patch would let certain messages stay in the database, despite their age, based on their letter_code. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
