Circulation rules are a big thing we have to tackle here. At the moment, we have multiple libraries, and within each library we have both open and closed stacks as well as multiple other segmentations, all specified as shelving locations (authorized value LOC). These locations are not always governed by the same set of rules, so it would be very helpful if the system could support LOC as a circulation rule condition alongside library, patron category and item type. >From doing a fairly brief look at the code, it seems GetIssuingRule and GetLoanLength in C4/Circulation.pm are the main points where the ruleset is retreived. There will of course be all the places calling these two functions, as well as database management parts to consider. If we were to develop some sort of extension to these rules, what would be an appropriate approach? It should certainly be an option to turn on to be used, but should we consider LOC as a starting point, or should LOC just be one many possible choices in the configuration? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. This allowed a patron to opt to receive a copy of any given email in more than one address! Now the email validation disallows this, but there is no technical reason to disallow it as far as I am aware. When testing this new feature, I was able to transfer a list a staff member without any list permissions. Once this transfer was successful, this staff member could edit the list, add and remove titles from this public list. The one thing this staff member (who had no permissions for lists) could not do was transfer the list to another person. I believe that this transfer option should only be allowed to staff with list permissions. Test Plan 1. Staff member A creates a public list. 2. Staff member A transfers this public list to another staff member (staff member b) without list permissions. 3. This way the library can make sure by auditing the logs that nobody has for example downloaded all the borrowers' info en masse with screen scraping. Currently this is a bit hard to implement in Koha since borrower's personal info is displayed on many many pages, but to ease this we should think if displaying borrower's real name is necessary or would a cardnumber or borrowernumber be better.
