https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=35104 Bug ID: 35104 Summary: We should warn when attempting to save badly encoded MARC records Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)ptfs-europe.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl Depends on: 34549 Bug 34549 adds some defensive coding to prevent incorrectly encoded MARC data getting into the database.. but is does so by silently stripping bad characters from the record. It would be nice to highlight that this is taking place, or preferably before it takes place so the end user understands what's happening. [Bug 40800] New: TransferArrived needlessly triggers alerts in SIP
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 06 Nov '26

06 Nov '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=40800 Bug ID: 40800 Summary: TransferArrived needlessly triggers alerts in SIP Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: SIP2 Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org A SIP check-in incorrectly triggers alerts when receiving items in transit at the destination library due to the NotIssued status combined with the TransferArrived message. When an item in transit is checked in at its destination library via SIP clients (sorters, self-service kiosks), the system generates an alert because it finds both: * NotIssued status (item not checked out to a user), therefore a checkin failure * Transfer receipt message Whilst this combination appropriately provides informational messages in the staff client, it's inappropriate for SIP contexts where automated systems don't require transfer receipt notifications and the alert disrupts workflow. The item status transition works correctly (transit → available), but the SIP response incorrectly signals an alert condition, preventing automated systems like sorters from processing transferred items seamlessly. Expected Behaviour SIP check-in of transit items at destination libraries should complete without alerts, allowing automated systems to process transferred items without manual intervention. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 39275] New: Merging records can destroy records if page has not fully loaded

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=39275 Bug ID: 39275 Summary: Merging records can destroy records if page has not fully loaded Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: katrin.fischer(a)bsz-bw.de QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl We just had a case where a lot of records where merged while the instance was slowed down significantly (crawlers) and the records ended up emptied out completely. As far as we can tell, this is what happened: * Select 2 records to merge from catalog or cataloguing search * Select "winner" record * On the next page, the second column with the "winner" is loaded a little after the rest of the page -> When you merge before it's loaded, the record is emptied out -> Wait until the page is fully loaded, the record will be ok. Maybe we could lock the "Merge records" button, until the page is fully loaded? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

In the example section "Usage" says: $ export KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha.conf $ perl misc/migration_tools/bulkmarcimport.pl -d -commit 1000 -file /home/jmf/koha.mrc -n 3000 When using Debian package installation one way to actually run the program is: As user "root": # export KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha/sites/instancename/koha-conf.xml # export PERL5LIB=/usr/share/koha/lib # /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/bulkmarcimport.pl -b -m marcxml -framework=frameworkname -file TITEL.marcxml -v 2 But it seems the following way is recommended: As user "koha": $ sudo koha-shell -c "/usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/bulkmarcimport.pl -b -m marcxml -framework=frameworkname -file TITEL.marcxml -v 2" instancename Better documentation how to run this kind of scripts would be useful. https://perldoc.koha-community.org/ shows many more such scripts. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
