[Bug 38759] New: koha-mysql doesn't work with timezone set in koha-conf.xml
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 09 Apr '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=38759 Bug ID: 38759 Summary: koha-mysql doesn't work with timezone set in koha-conf.xml Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P5 - low Component: Command-line Utilities Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: katrin.fischer(a)bsz-bw.de QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: robin(a)catalyst.net.nz When a timezone is set in the koha-conf.xml file, the koha-mysql command doesn't work. This seems to be due to missing quotes around the timezone value. For the timezone configuration see: https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Time_Zone_Configuration If you dump the created connection command, you will see something like: mysql --host=<host> --user=XXX --password=XXX --init-command=SET time_zone='America/Sao_Paulo' koha_XXX This will result in an error. Quoting the value for the init-command parameter appears to fix the issue: mysql --host=<host> --user=XXX --password=XXX --init-command="SET time_zone='America/Sao_Paulo'" koha_XXX -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 37702] New: Fast Cataloging does not work with fast_cataloging permission when duplicate suspected
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 09 Apr '25

09 Apr '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=37702 Bug ID: 37702 Summary: Fast Cataloging does not work with fast_cataloging permission when duplicate suspected Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 24.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: holly(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com Fast cataloging should work seamlessly with the patron permission fast_cataloging, and has in the past. This is no longer working in 23.05, 23.11 and 24.05. To replicate: -Set a user with no cataloging permissions except fast_cataloging. -Log in as that user. -Attempt a checkout with some nonsense barcode. -Follow prompt to add record via fast cataloging. -Fill out fast add MARC with a title that already exists in catalog and save. -Koha will ask if this is a duplicate *Select yes, edit existing items: you are taken to the normal view of the record and cannot add items. *Select no, save as new record: Instead of this directing into item creation, you are directed to the normal view of the record you just created. You can add an item from New or Edit. -If no duplicate suspected, saving the record does direct to the item creation screen as expected, and then you run into bug 37407, which has been fixed for upcoming versions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 28285] New: Lists sorted by copyrightdate display results in ascending date order

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28285 Bug ID: 28285 Summary: Lists sorted by copyrightdate display results in ascending date order Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 20.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: trivial Priority: P5 - low Component: Lists Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: lucy.vaux-harvey(a)ptfs-europe.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl If you create a list and choose to sort by copyrightdate the list results will display on both staff interface and opac in ascending date order (oldest first). It would be useful to be able to choose ascending or descending as the default as often libraries will want the newest items to appear first. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 38687] New: Batch extend due dates should be called Batch modify due dates
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 06 Apr '25

Calling it 'batch modify due dates' better describes its function and makes it more consistent with other tool names. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 27526] New: Remove Mod/AddItemFromMarc from additem.pl
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 04 Apr '25

04 Apr '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=27526 Bug ID: 27526 Summary: Remove Mod/AddItemFromMarc from additem.pl Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: ASSIGNED Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: jonathan.druart(a)bugs.koha-community.org Reporter: jonathan.druart(a)bugs.koha-community.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org There is a lot of code in additem.pl that is transforming an item representation from/to HTML, XML, MARC::Record, Koha::Item We really don't need all this overhead, having the Koha::Item's attributes would be enough to update/create the item into the DB (it's no longer in the biblio MARC::Record!) Of course other places where we add/update items are valid as well: acquisition, batch item modification, etc. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

View the circulation history page for the patron 5. Make the screen as wide as possible (or zoom out) - note that the table is centred instead of left aligned 6. [Bug 30873] New: "Libraries" link on OPAC should be hideable by system preference
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 04 Apr '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=30873 Bug ID: 30873 Summary: "Libraries" link on OPAC should be hideable by system preference Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: OPAC Assignee: oleonard(a)myacpl.org Reporter: dcook(a)prosentient.com.au QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Most of my libraries don't want to show the "Libraries" link on the OPAC. While you can hide it using Javascript, it's not a very elegant solution. There should be a system preference to hide it (like every other option on that nav bar besides "Advanced search"). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
