I noticed that if you are limiting the editing per library group you lose the ability to choose items on record details page. This is enabled in StaffDetailItemSelection. You cannot choose your own items either. It would be ok not to choose items that you cannot edit/delete but if you cannot choose your own items it is a big disadvantage. You cannot choose multiple items and do batch edits or deletes to them from details page. I tested the feature in PTFS Europe's sandbox (v. 23.06). We should refine this to allow libraries to control the maximum length an item can be booked for. During the original development, I suggested perhaps we should set the maximum to the loan length of the item times the max renewals from the circulation rules.. This search is very constrictive and it would be nice to have the option of what fields get prepopulated instead of having to manually remove the fields that the user doesn't want. PatronSelfRegistrationBorrowerMandatoryField, find Gender(sex) and mark it as required. 2. Go to the self registration form. No 'Required' label. Also, this field is different because of the radio buttons. You cannot select a non value here so it makes interacting with PatronSelfRegistrationBorrowerMandatoryField weird. At time of writing, this tool dropped out of Debian (bookworm) and Ubuntu stable and sometimes older releases including backports and the like. Debian oldstable still keeps it, but no upstream releases beyond. This may endanger the functionality in Koha upstream. Possible solutions: - Manual installation outside the package management (and bugfixing) of the distribution via `pip`. That would also require a suitable documentation. - Use an alternative tool chain within the distributions (e.g. pandoc, if heading for a swiss army knife of format transformations. For PDF pandoc would require latex as "helper").
