https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43725 Bug ID: 43725 Summary: Add `--config-only` option to `koha-create` Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Packaging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: tomascohen(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: mtj(a)kohaaloha.com Target Milestone: --- Working on the `koha-docker` project, I found the need for a way to get `koha-create` just initialize the configurations, but not start any services. While I understand the value of `koha-create` launching all the pieces, I believe it is mixing a lot of concerns, and we should have a way to limit its reach. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 42585] New: Add ability for Koha to analyze reports and warn for potentially dangerous reports

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42585 Bug ID: 42585 Summary: Add ability for Koha to analyze reports and warn for potentially dangerous reports Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Reports Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: kyle(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: lisette(a)bywatersolutions.com It is quite possible to write reports in Koha that, when run, create huge temp tables that crash a database server or cause runreport.pl to use so much RAM that the kernel oom-kills Koha. It would be nice if we had a tool built in to Koha to help warn librarians about reports with the potential to bring down a Koha server. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 41651] New: Allow plugins to specify additional dependencies
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Oct '26

21 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=41651 Bug ID: 41651 Summary: Allow plugins to specify additional dependencies Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Plugin architecture Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: tadeusz(a)sosnierz.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Koha plugins cannot currently declare any dependencies. Not meeting them will occcasionally fail upon installation (if the main plugin class tries to load them at compile time) or runtime (if one of the other packages does, or code cleverly checks if the dependency is met). Ideally we'd have a way of specifying if a Koha plugin depends on another Perl module, or another Koha plugin. A nice feature of this would be to able be able to declare optional dependencies, which may only be required for a subset of the Plugin's features (like in https://github.com/HKS3/koha-normalize-marc2db/blob/main/Koha/Plugin/HKS3/N…) Those shouldn't prevent installation, but should still warn loudly upon plugin installation, in a way that is hard/impossible to miss (e.g. have an intermitted screen on plugins-upload.pl, with an "are you sure"). Patch incoming. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 41199] New: Advanced Search fields could use more visible label options

This aids users in navigating the system, and also helps to provide screen readers with more context about an input field. We should offer a syspref that controls the number of visible labels, so libraries can have greater control over the extent of these labels. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. Koha recently increased the patron's barcode length to 32 and it was helpful to libraries. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
