[Bug 43880] New: REST API: like search on a boolean column matches every true row
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Oct '26

22 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43880 Bug ID: 43880 Summary: REST API: like search on a boolean column matches every true row Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: REST API Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: tomascohen(a)gmail.com CC: tomascohen(a)gmail.com Target Milestone: --- The REST API turns a pattern on a boolean column into a plain true value, so a "like" search on such a column matches every row where the column is true. Koha::Object::_recursive_fixup coerces any value on an is_boolean column with ($value ? 1 : 0). It recurses into hashes, so { like => '%foo%' } becomes { like => 1 } and the query becomes active LIKE 1, which is true for every active row. This is visible in the vendors table (Acquisitions > Vendors): the global search ORs a LIKE across every searchable column, including the boolean active column, so searching for a vendor name also lists every active vendor. It also makes t/cypress/integration/Acquisitions/Vendors_spec.ts ("receive should open in the same tab") depend on the order of leftover vendors: it clicks tr:first, which is whichever active vendor sorts first rather than the one it created. It failed on the Debian 12 Jenkins runs for that reason. Test plan: 1. Apply the tests patch only (or run it before the fix) and run prove t/db_dependent/api/v1/acquisitions_vendors.t => the new subtest fails 2. Apply the fix and run it again => it passes 3. In the staff interface go to Acquisitions > Vendors with at least two active vendors and search for a name that only one has => only that vendor is listed 4. Run t/cypress/integration/Acquisitions/Vendors_spec.ts => passes -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 43881] New: Vendors_spec.ts receive test depends on the first table row
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Oct '26

22 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43881 Bug ID: 43881 Summary: Vendors_spec.ts receive test depends on the first table row Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Test Suite Assignee: chris(a)bigballofwax.co.nz Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Target Milestone: --- Vendors_spec.ts "receive should open in the same tab" searches the vendors table for the vendor it created and then clicks "Receive shipments" in tr:first. That assumes the created vendor is the first row, which is only true when no other vendor is returned ahead of it. If another vendor is listed first (for example one left over from an earlier spec), the click goes to the wrong vendor, or the first row has no "Receive shipments" link and the test times out. This is the failure seen on the Debian 12 Jenkins runs. The test should find the row for its own vendor by name. Related: Bug 43880 (the vendors table search listing every active vendor), which made the leftover rows visible. Test plan: 1. Run t/cypress/integration/Acquisitions/Vendors_spec.ts => passes 2. Create another active vendor first (so it sorts before the test vendor) and run it again => still passes -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 43736] New: Reports should use the Print format when rendering with a template
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Oct '26

22 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43736 Bug ID: 43736 Summary: Reports should use the Print format when rendering with a template Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Keywords: regression Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Reports Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: lisette(a)bywatersolutions.com Depends on: 34136 Target Milestone: --- When the option to render a report within the staff interface with a template was added in Bug 34136, it used the Print format of the selected notice template. Now it's using email instead. It should use Print when rendering a report to view (and possibly print) within the staff interface. This may have been caused by Bug 38121. To recreate, start with the test plan on Bug 34136: 3) Create a new notice template using the new "Report" option from the "New notice" pulldown. 4) In the "Print" area, paste the following template: [% FOREACH b IN data %] <div class="panel panel-default"> <div class="panel-heading">[% b.surname %], [% b.firstname %]</div> <div class="panel-body">Expiration: [% b.dateexpiry %]</div> <div class="panel-footer">ID: [% b.borrowernumber %]</div> </div> [% END %] 5) Create a report with the query: SELECT surname, firstname, dateexpiry, borrowernumber FROM borrowers 6) Once the report is saved, use the new "Run with template" option to select the template you just created. You'll find that selecting your template from the Run With Template button has no effect. But if you move your content from step 4 to Email, the template works.
