The tab is shown (because the borrowernumber 51 (koha) for example has manage_patron_lists permission), but the dynamically loaded content from patron-lists-tab.tt contains no HTML, both [% IF in_lists %] and [% IF available_lists && CAN_user_tools_manage_patron_lists %] evaluate to false. Other tabs follow the convention of showing an empty state message (e.g. "Patron has nothing on hold." for holds, "Patron has nothing booked." for bookings). The patron lists tab should do the same, with a message like "No patron lists. No idea what happened but I think the "$lang" variable in the controller might conflict with... a global $lang? For example, when used in a relationshipWidget, you can end up with search parameters being appended to search parameters being appended to search parameters, etc. We think the solution to copy the props to a reference, and make any alterations to said reference. But there was a comment in that discussion that made me think. I suppose we could scan the barcode and send it to a Koha API for processing... It looks like there's a Perl library that hooks into a C library that could work very well: https://packages.debian.org/bullseye/libbarcode-zbar-perl I think that this is likely to be much more effective than using a Javascript library. I've had mixed results with Javascript libraries.
