[Bug 35143] New: Add hooks for status changes to ILL requests to send_staff_notice
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Sep '26

22 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=35143 Bug ID: 35143 Summary: Add hooks for status changes to ILL requests to send_staff_notice Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: ILL Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: philip.orr(a)lmscloud.de CC: pedro.amorim(a)ptfs-europe.com If the library is using ILL, currently Email notifications can only be (automatically) sent to ILL staff when a patron makes a request to modify or cancel an existing request. The notice templates for those two cases are ILL_REQUEST_CANCEL and ILL_REQUEST_MODIFIED. It would be great if there was also a possibility to automatically send a mail to staff when a patron first creates a request. As ashimema said (paraphrasing here): it would be good to generally add hooks and tie them to the status field so that any status change of an ILL request triggers the corresponding ILL_REQUEST_NEWSTATUS notice if it exists (where NEWSTATUS stands for the new status after the status has changed). Some status changes for instance: ILL_REQUEST_NEW -> sent when request is first created. ILL_REQUEST_CANCEL -> same as it is now, sent when patron wishes to cancel a request ILL_REQUEST_IN_DELIVERY -> sent when status changes to "in delivery". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 43598] New: Catalog search disappears from main search bar after bib deletion
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43598 Bug ID: 43598 Summary: Catalog search disappears from main search bar after bib deletion Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: 25.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: cbrannon(a)cdalibrary.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl Target Milestone: --- When we delete a bib record, we are taken to the advanced search page, but the main search bar no longer has a catalog search. I know the search is below in the page, but this is inconsistent with other workflows. When you are doing your searches primarily on the main search bar and then delete a record, you have to mentally pay attention to the fact that the search bar no longer searches the catalog after that action. We should keep the catalog search function on the header search bar, even in the advanced search page. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 34962] New: Add a system messages feature to Koha to report issues and failures in a more visible way
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Sep '26

22 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=34962 Bug ID: 34962 Summary: Add a system messages feature to Koha to report issues and failures in a more visible way Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: kyle(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Many web projects have a "system messages" area to report cron failures and things like that. These messages are often dismissable. I think it would be great to have a "system messages" table that we could insert things into to make staff aware that something has failed. What I'm imagining is something like wrapping cronjob code in a try/catch and reporting cronjob failures. This would dovetail with action logs. Action logs lot you got searching for issues. This would put the issue right in front of you and would be trigger by actual failures. It could be used to report records with malformed MARC. It could be used to report items that are missing a required field that Koha assumes exists to function, and so on. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. (For instance telling users that this is not the way to reserve a book, or whatever you want to add..) If a user saved items to the cart and he leaves the OPAC, warn (based on a pref, or perhaps some localStorage key to no longer warn) that he still has items in the cart. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 43366] New: Allow to save linear shelf meters per call number pattern
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 22 Sep '26

22 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43366 Bug ID: 43366 Summary: Allow to save linear shelf meters per call number pattern Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Staff interface Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com Target Milestone: --- We would like to save linear shelf meters per (non-overlapping) branch and call number pattern. This may include a cabinet count, shelf count and shelf length. So e.g. the call number pattern 240<space> has 40 cabinets, 6 shelves of 1 meter per cabinet. (So amounting to 240 meter.) Or in another case just call number pattern BC A-F has 20 cabinets with a total of 100 meter. Etc. This needs a bit of thought how to specify such a 'call number pattern'.. Some default cabinets (incl shelves and length) may come in handy. We can extend the use of this feature on a few follow-up reports. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.
