[Bug 43493] New: Link Koha::Library opening hours with the library Calendar
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 10 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43493 Bug ID: 43493 Summary: Link Koha::Library opening hours with the library Calendar Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Depends on: 43492 Blocks: 36079 Target Milestone: --- Bug 36079 points out that library opening hours and the library Calendar are not linked in any meaningful way: a library can have a weekly closure configured for a day it also has opening hours set for, and nothing reconciles the two - they are entirely separate subsystems that happen to share a library_id foreign key. Building on the library_opening_hours facade from Bug 43492, this bug adds a Koha::Library->opening_hours accessor and makes the facade's availability checks (is_open_at, next_change) consult Koha::Library->calendar->is_holiday first: if the Calendar says the library is closed that day for any reason (weekly closure, repeating closure, single closure, correctly excluding exception-override days), opening hours checks report closed regardless of what hours are configured. This resolves Bug 36079 by composing the two existing facades rather than merging their storage - Calendar remains the source of truth for whether the library is open at all on a given day, and Opening Hours remains the source of truth for which windows it is open during. [Bug 36596] New: Opening/closing hours should be forced to be set together

I would use either 'dow' or 'day_of_week'. And it should be clear which one is the first in the comments. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 37617] New: Opening and closing hours should be either delivered in libraries responses or have a dedicated endpoint

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=37617 Bug ID: 37617 Summary: Opening and closing hours should be either delivered in libraries responses or have a dedicated endpoint Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: REST API Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: paul.derscheid(a)lmscloud.de QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: tomascohen(a)gmail.com I'd suggest that we make the opening and closing times accessible via the API for usage within koha (for example in Vue) as well as usage on external websites (for example an institution's main website separate from the OPAC). We could either add it to the /libraries endpoint's responses or create a dedicated endpoint for opening hours. I'm leaning more towards the inclusion within the library responses. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 36079] New: Library hours and the Calendar are not linked in any meaningful ways

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=36079 Bug ID: 36079 Summary: Library hours and the Calendar are not linked in any meaningful ways Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Staff interface Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)ptfs-europe.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com Depends on: 6796 Bug 6796 adds the ability to define library opening hours for each branch. It does not, however, respect weekday closed days as defined in the Calendar page. We should expose that detail from the libraries interface, including in the summary table, details view and edit form. I believe this would be best achieved by migrating the weekly closed days from repeatable holidays into the new library_hours table and thus making it available via the existing library_hours embed in the API. This makes it trivial to display the open/closed state in the api driven datatable as well as on the view and edit pages. We should continue to support displaying and editing these weekly closed days from the calendar too, however. [Bug 37616] New: Multiple opening and closing times should be able to be set per day

This makes this feature more versatile and reduces the need for ad-hoc solutions in plugins or bookings for non-media entities. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 37456] New: Allow to type in library hours

It would be useful to be able to type them in. If I type 9, it's ok. If I want to type 9:55, it doesn't let me. It also doesn't let me type 17. I think it's because it's actually a date selector and doesn't go over 12 for the "hours" and doesn't go over 31 for the "minutes" -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
