[Bug 42645] New: ModSuggestion: FallbackToSMSIfNoEmail ignores EmailFieldPrimary/EmailFieldPrecedence
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 21 Aug '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42645 Bug ID: 42645 Summary: ModSuggestion: FallbackToSMSIfNoEmail ignores EmailFieldPrimary/EmailFieldPrecedence Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Acquisitions Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org The transport-selection logic in C4/Suggestions.pm (ModSuggestion, ~line 253) checks !$patron->email when deciding whether to fall back to SMS for purchase-suggestion status-change notices (ACCEPTED, AVAILABLE, REJECTED, ORDERED, CHECKED). $patron->email returns the raw borrowers.email column value and does not consult the EmailFieldPrimary or EmailFieldPrecedence system preferences. The correct method is $patron->notice_email_address, which applies those preferences. A patron who has only emailpro or B_email populated (with borrowers.email empty) will incorrectly receive their status-change notice via SMS even when they have a valid, reachable email address, because the FallbackToSMSIfNoEmail check sees an empty borrowers.email and treats the patron as having no email at all. See also: Bug 39984 Test plan: 1. Enable FallbackToSMSIfNoEmail. 2. Set EmailFieldPrimary to emailpro (or EmailFieldPrecedence to emailpro|email|B_email). 3. Create a patron with emailpro populated, borrowers.email empty, and smsalertnumber set. 4. Submit a purchase suggestion as that patron and accept it. 5. Check the message_queue table. 6. Without patch: the ACCEPTED notice is queued with message_transport_type = 'sms'. 7. Apply patch: the ACCEPTED notice is queued with message_transport_type = 'email' and sent to the emailpro address. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 40391] New: Add support for EDI LSL field

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=40391 Bug ID: 40391 Summary: Add support for EDI LSL field Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 24.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Acquisitions Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org More recent versions of the EDIFACT EDItEUR/BiC profiles added support for an LSL (Library sub-location) field. This new field would allow people to 'have their cake and eat it' with regards to location + collection handling. Currently, we have the `EdifactLSQ` system preference which allows you to set the 'GIR:LSQ' field content to map to either the Location or Collection for a Koha item. Adding 'GIR:LSL' parsing would allow us to support vendors passing both codes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

I'd expect the menu to stay open unless I click elsewhere on the page, outside of the menu. To recreate 1. Open the user menu 2. Click the gear 3. [Bug 28308] New: Select 'Days in advance' = 0 for Advance notice effectively disables PREDUE notices

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28308 Bug ID: 28308 Summary: Select 'Days in advance' = 0 for Advance notice effectively disables PREDUE notices Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Notices Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: nick(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Looking at the code below, it seems that on the day an item is due we will only send the DUE notices, predues will not be sent In the advance_notices.pl cron: 276 if ( 0 == $upcoming->{'days_until_due'} ) { 277 # This item is due today. Send an 'item due' message. ... 323 } else { 324 $borrower_preferences = C4::Members::Messaging::GetMessagingPreferences( { borrowernumber => $upcoming->{'borrowernumber'}, 325 message_name => 'advance_notice' } ); 326 next UPCOMINGITEM unless $borrower_preferences && exists $borrower_preferences->{'days_in_advance'}; 327 next UPCOMINGITEM unless $borrower_preferences->{'days_in_advance'} == $upcoming->{'days_until_due'}; In this case, allowing the user to choose '0' is effectively disabling the notice. I think we need to remove 0 as an option, and uncheck all transports for patrons who have '0' set for days in advance -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
