It would record the link, and how many times it has been clicked. Sometimes we set up links on signage, or websites, or in a QR code, and it would be great to measure which links are being utilized where. So, maybe we could have a link that is in a QR code being displayed in a particular location, like https://YOUROPAC/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=(su%3A%7BGardening.%7D). Maybe we add a parameter like &track=qrnorthdisplay, and every time this link is visited, it would save to a tracking table, maybe linktracking. It would save the &track parameter, and then keep count every time that link is hit. That way it would only have one record in the table, rather than one for every click. Maybe you want one for every click so you could time stamp it and see when it is being clicked? I don't know. Even if items_batchmod_restricted is also checked, the user has unrestricted access to the batch modification by age rules. We need all staff to have at least restricted access to the batch item modification tool, but the batch item modification by age rules should only be accessible to whoever is responsible for configuring them (in our case, superlibrarians only).
