[Bug 43784] New: Define time period for display of checkout and holds history in staff interface

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43784 Bug ID: 43784 Summary: Define time period for display of checkout and holds history in staff interface Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle(a)bywatersolutions.com Target Milestone: --- A library may wish to retain non-anonymized old_issues and old_reserves data for use by administrative staff but limit access to that data by circulation staff. This could be easily accomplished by creating a new system preference that sets a number of days in the past beyond which checkout and hold history will not be shown in the patron record and would not show patron information when viewed on the biblio record. This data would still be viewable in reports, but not to users with only circulation and catalog permissions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 43736] New: Reports should use the Print format when rendering with a template
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 12 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43736 Bug ID: 43736 Summary: Reports should use the Print format when rendering with a template Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Keywords: regression Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Reports Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrew(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: lisette(a)bywatersolutions.com Depends on: 34136 Target Milestone: --- When the option to render a report within the staff interface with a template was added in Bug 34136, it used the Print format of the selected notice template. Now it's using email instead. It should use Print when rendering a report to view (and possibly print) within the staff interface. This may have been caused by Bug 38121. To recreate, start with the test plan on Bug 34136: 3) Create a new notice template using the new "Report" option from the "New notice" pulldown. 4) In the "Print" area, paste the following template: [% FOREACH b IN data %] <div class="panel panel-default"> <div class="panel-heading">[% b.surname %], [% b.firstname %]</div> <div class="panel-body">Expiration: [% b.dateexpiry %]</div> <div class="panel-footer">ID: [% b.borrowernumber %]</div> </div> [% END %] 5) Create a report with the query: SELECT surname, firstname, dateexpiry, borrowernumber FROM borrowers 6) Once the report is saved, use the new "Run with template" option to select the template you just created. You'll find that selecting your template from the Run With Template button has no effect. But if you move your content from step 4 to Email, the template works. [Bug 43021] New: A single malformed Z39.50/SRU result can break search and staged record preview
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 12 Oct '26

12 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43021 Bug ID: 43021 Summary: A single malformed Z39.50/SRU result can break search and staged record preview Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Z39.50 / SRU / OpenSearch Servers Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl Depends on: 35104 Target Milestone: --- Two related, unguarded MARC decode calls in the Z39.50/SRU search and staged record ("breeding") preview flow: 1. C4::Breeding::_handle_one_result (C4/Breeding.pm) calls MARC::Record->new_from_xml on each SRU search result with no eval. The caller loop that iterates search results across all configured servers already has per-result error handling for other kinds of failures (connection diagnostics collected in @errconn), but this call bypasses it entirely - one malformed record from any searched server aborts the whole results page for the cataloguer running the search. 2. MARCfindbreeding in cataloguing/addbiblio.pl calls MARC::Record->new_from_usmarc on a staged ("breeding") record with no eval, when a cataloguer opens that staged record to preview/import it. Both should catch a decode failure for the one affected record and report it to the user (e.g. skip that result with a visible message, or show a clear error instead of a blank/broken page) rather than propagating an uncaught exception. Found while auditing other places in the codebase that ingest externally-sourced MARC data, prompted by bug 35104. Test plan: 1. Configure a Z39.50/SRU target and search it for records, where at least one result server returns a record whose MARC cannot be decoded (or simulate by mocking C4::Breeding::_handle_one_result's input). 2. Before a fix: the whole results page fails/errors out. 3. Separately, stage a file containing an undecodable record via Stage MARC records for import, then open it via the cataloguing "breeding" preview. 4. Before a fix: the preview page errors out. 5. After a fix: both cases show a clear per-record error and let the user continue working with the rest of the results/batch. [Bug 43025] New: Show metadata repair warnings in the cataloguing edit form
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 12 Oct '26

12 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=43025 Bug ID: 43025 Summary: Show metadata repair warnings in the cataloguing edit form Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Cataloging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: m.de.rooy(a)rijksmuseum.nl Depends on: 35104 Target Milestone: --- Bug 35104 makes Koha::Biblio::Metadata->store() recover non-XML characters and empty datafields automatically (recording what was fixed in biblio_metadata_errors), or throw Koha::Exceptions::Metadata::Invalid when a record's MARCXML cannot be saved at all. This patch surfaces that in the place cataloguers actually hit it: the cataloguing edit form. This patch: - Catches Koha::Exceptions::Metadata::Invalid on save in cataloguing/addbiblio.pl and shows a clear error instead of a raw exception, keeping the form populated so nothing is lost. - Shows a "Record saved with modifications" warning when a save succeeded but required automatic repair. - Lists any pre-existing, unresolved metadata errors when opening a record for editing, each with a quick-link to the affected field (where the field survived the repair) and a "Mark resolved" action. - Adds DELETE /api/v1/biblios/{biblio_id}/metadata/errors/{error_id} to resolve (delete) a metadata error row, used by the "Mark resolved" action. Depends on bug 35104. Test plan: 1. Apply this patch on top of bug 35104. 2. Catalogue a new record (or edit an existing one) and add a control character (e.g. paste text containing a Unit Separator, 0x1F) into a subfield value. Save the record. 3. Confirm the record saves successfully and a "Record saved with modifications" warning banner appears describing what was automatically fixed. 4. Re-open the record for editing. Confirm a "Data quality warnings" banner lists the fault, with a "Go to field" link and a "Mark resolved" button. 5. Click "Go to field" - confirm it switches to the correct tab and scrolls to the affected field. 6. Click "Mark resolved" - confirm the warning disappears immediately and does not reappear after reloading the page. 7. Save a record that cannot be repaired at all (e.g. temporarily force Koha::Biblio::Metadata::store to throw Koha::Exceptions::Metadata::Invalid, or use a MARC::File::XML error you can reproduce) - confirm a clear error message is shown and the form is redisplayed with your data intact, rather than a raw exception or a 500 error. 8. prove t/db_dependent/api/v1/biblios_metadata_errors.t Referenced Bugs: https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=35104 [Bug 35104] We should warn when attempting to save MARC records that contain characters invalid in XML -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
