Create a circulation rule for a patron category and item type. The rule should be set so that there can be unlimited holds, but only 1 hold per record, allow item level holds. 2. Set the AllowHoldPolicyOverride to don't allow. 3. Find a bibliographic record that has multiple available items and place a hold. 4. Trap the hold by checking it in and confirming. 5. Return to the bibliographic record and try placing a second hold. Koha prevents the holds and states "Cannot place hold, No items are available to be placed on hold." In this scenario, Koha is doing what it has been told to do by preventing a second hold on the same record by a patron that already has the item on hold. However, the messaging is a little confusing because there are other items available. But that's because that variable/function dates from bug 7804 (written in 2010 and then added to Koha in 2013). Back then, I remember it was sometimes necessary to manually add 'Alias /plugin/ "/var/lib/koha/plugins/"' to your Apache configuration. It appears that Alias was added to "etc/koha-httpd.conf" in bug 7804 but not added to the Debian Apache files. These days, plugins are served from other places than "/var/lib/koha/plugins" anyway. The manual says it does not work, but it is useful? Datafields are made of subfields, it does not make sense to link them to an authorized value. Maybe this feature should be removed?
