The fact that communnication with this database is missing from Koha is one of the two main stumbling blocks that keep Norwegian libraries from adopting Koha (the other one is the lack of support for the Norwegian ILL protocol). This bug will add support for NL to Koha. Communication with NL happens through SOAP. "Host record": A bibliographic record which contains child records. Host record doesn't have a link to the child record. USEFUL: For music cataloguers whose jobs depend on these. For browsing the contents of a musical record. Provides the basis for a high quality music library service. Because Koha has the building blocks to create these child records out of box, it is odd that they can't be displayed out of box. This patch adds a system preference AddChildRecordsToDetailedViews. This controls if child records data is appended after the bibliographic data for XSLT parsing. Also makes sure that child records are not pulled needlessly for non-detailed views as this would cripple performance. Modifies the default XSLT templates: MARC21slim2intranetDetail.xsl and MARC21slim2OPACDetail.xsl to display the child record data as HTML. This is less than ideal for a couple reasons: [1] DBIX::Class (see bug 8798) complains about it. In particular, any code that loads Koha::Database would litter the Apache logs with the following: DBIx::Class::Carp::__ANON__(): "might_have/has_one" must not be on columns with is_nullable set to true (Koha::Schema::Result::Borrower/cardnumber). This might indicate an incorrect use of those relationship helpers instead of belongs_to. at /usr/share/perl5/DBIx/Class/Relationship/HasOne.pm line 96 [2] Every other table that has an FK to borrowers uses borrowernumber as the referent. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The problem became apparent when I actually stop to note the difference between a :: over a -> in the calling convention. C4::Context->method passes the object as the first parameter. C4::Context::function calls the routine in a purely functional way. C4::Context methods should be called in an object oriented manner, particularly things like C4::Context::set_userenv.
