Some libraries would like to be able to see the last patron who returned out an item ( in case of damage ) but still keep all other patrons anonymized. * Add the field items.last_borrower, foreign key to borrowers.borrowernumber * Add new system preference StoreLastBorrower * If StoreLastBorrower is enabled, upon checkin have Koha set this new field to the patron who last returned this item. * If this new field has a value, link to the patron from the item details page. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. The downside of this is that the word "user" cannot be used in a default value for a note! Create the deafualt value in the framework -In MARC frameworks. -Select a MARC structure of any framework to edit. -Select the subfields to edit. -Select the Edit Subfields button. -Select Display more constraints of any subfield tab. -Include "user" in the default value. (make sure hidden is st to 0). -Save Changes. In order to combat this problem, Koha needs a script for bulk de-duplicating of authority records. The deduplicator should be able to automatically recognize machine-generated authority records, and choose official records. It should also recognize when one record supersedes another based on previous headings. This enables libraries to merge composed authorities and only change the heading field. It supposes that the previous data is sent to merge function so that process deletes previous heading entries. Items that are created through original cataloging have the items.permanent_location set to the items.location value. This causes serious issues when items are circulated and the library is using the CART/PROC system preferences. It remains on the patron's record but is still linked to the original bib record making it impossible to find/delete/confirm.
