If we do enforce this we can add a new constraint on that and use if for update/create but it requires more work https://metacpan.org/pod/DBIx::Class::ResultSet#update_or_create Note: Take care when using update_or_create with a table having columns with default values that you intend to be automatically supplied by the database (e.g. an auto_increment primary key column).
