https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=20573 Bug ID: 20573 Summary: Patron receives membership expiry notice but 'will expire soon' alert doesn't show for staff at checkout Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 17.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P5 - low Component: Patrons Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: jyorio(a)esilibrary.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com We've seen a situation a few times now, where a patron comes into the library and informs the staff that they received notice that their account is going to expire, but when staff go to the patron's account and click checkout, the message, "Attention: Expiration: Patron's card will expire soon. Patron's card expires on ...", doesn't appear. This issue happens when the patron comes into the library exactly 30 days from their expiration. In this case, MembershipExpiryDaysNotice = 30 days and NotifyBorrowerDeparture = 30 days. So for example, the patron's expiration date is 05/11/2018. On 4/11/2018 the patron gets their notice, as expected. They come into the library on 4/11/2018 and the checkout message alerting staff to the impending expiration message doesn't show. Checking the same account on 4/12/2018 shows the message "Attention: Expiration: Patron's card will expire soon. Patron's card expires on 05/11/2018 Renew or Edit Details" on the checkout screen. I would expect the staff to be alerted at checkout on 4/11/2018 since the patron has been notified. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 21272] New: Marc import should warn about mis-matched branch and item-type fields in 952 during marc import.

This causes frequent confusion among new users. It would be nice to offer mappings between detected branches / item types and the branches and item types already in the system. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 18148] New: Chronological order for public lists in OPAC
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 09 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=18148 Bug ID: 18148 Summary: Chronological order for public lists in OPAC Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Searching Assignee: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com Reporter: alexandre.breton(a)ccsr.qc.ca QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Hi, Some librarians ask us to have public lists in chronological order rather than in alphabetical order because some schools will have to kept them there for a long time. This results in a big list with many pages on which is more difficult to find the good list. 1) Go in an OPAC interface 2) Go to "Lists" normally in top left corner 3) A small list appears from the top of the screen, observe that this list is by modification date (not alphabetical order) 4) Clic then on public lists 5) Observe that all lists created are in alphabetical order and their order cannot be changed We are wondering if it's possible to have some sorting options for the results list like in the staff client interface. There, you can change for chronological (modification or creation date) but also by owner order. Thanks for helping us, Alexandre from CCSR -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 22212] New: Improve usability of column configuration page

The modules on the tabs translate, but neither do the id= parts or the columns. I think as a first step it would help to navigate these pages if we could add a little description on where the table appears somewhere that is translatable. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 22322] New: Self-checkin module should provide for automatic logins (like self-checkout)

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=22322 Bug ID: 22322 Summary: Self-checkin module should provide for automatic logins (like self-checkout) Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: oliver.behnke(a)aei.mpg.de QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com Target Milestone: --- The self-checkin (SCI) module currently requires to set up a dedicated kiosk terminal for its purpose. The reason being that you can't provide user/password system preferences for an automatic login, like you can for the self-checkout (SCO) counterpart. Our use case is the following: we are already using the SCO module with automatic login of the dedicated SCO patron, and our actual patrons identify themselves via their cardnumber. While they can obviously check in their books via the SCO module, we'd like to streamline the process such that they don't have to login with their cardnumber in order to simply return a book. The SCI module would be ideal for this but, effectively, it can't be used on the same terminal as switching between the modules currently requires a manual login of the dedicated SCI patron. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 16207] New: Incorporate circulation and fine rules for library groups
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 03 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=16207 Bug ID: 16207 Summary: Incorporate circulation and fine rules for library groups Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: System Administration Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: cbrannon(a)cdalibrary.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com I think we could simplify circulation and fine rules by incorporating library groups into the mix. For example, I have 27 libraries, and 8 of them follow the same set of rules that are different from the defaults. So, what if instead of cloning these special rules to 8 different libraries (and who knows how many other duplicated sets of rules there are), we defined a set of rules for a library group. If the library is part of that group, it goes by those rules. I don't know if we want to use the same library groups that are already defined in the libraries and groups, or if we want to create a unique Circ rule group. Because, there is always the chance that one or more of the libraries in the 8 that are grouped together by affiliation or region could have a slightly different set of rules. However, I think rules by groups would make managing rules far less complicated than managing groups of cloned rules. [Bug 22456] New: Customers Cancelling their Pending Holds
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 02 Sep '26

02 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=22456 Bug ID: 22456 Summary: Customers Cancelling their Pending Holds Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 18.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: OPAC Assignee: oleonard(a)myacpl.org Reporter: christofer.zorn(a)ajaxlibrary.ca QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Target Milestone: --- Good morning! I'm not sure if I should have piggybacked this off of the previous ticket, but I'd like to open the discussion on bug 18856 again. We'd like the ability to have patrons cancel their holds once they have been pulled by staff and are awaiting pick up. Our previous catalogue (Bibliocommons) allowed the cancellation of holds once it as captured. This feature was well like and used by our patrons who had determined they didn't need/want the item any longer. This gave the perception that they were freeing up the item for the next person. We have fielded a number of grumpy comments since our migration about the inability to perform this functionality. >From my perspective, if we're allowing patrons to place holds and cancel them before they're captured, we should offer the ability to cancel them up until they're picked up. At the very least, this should be a system option to allow the Library to choose whether they'd like to enable this functionality. Even if the implemented functionality is a placebo for the user ... offer them the ability to cancel the hold and have it remove from their account. As long as optically it appears they've cancelled the hold, there is no harm. If desired, a report could be run to allow staff to pull those items from the shelf if needed. I'm more than happy to elaborate if needed on this, but I feel that this is a feature that is currently missing from Koha that would be a boon to customer service.
