With that in mind, it would be helpful to have the option to sort the list of rules on marc-overlay-rules.pl to reflect that specificity and enforcement priority, as we do the circ rules. A hint - To tell users if they leave the items.dateaccessioned field (which is typically linked to the 952$d subfield) empty when adding a new item in serials, cataloguing, or acquisitions then Koha will automatically save the current date in that field. OR 2. Context-aware behaviour - Koha only pre-fills the item editor dateaccessioned field with the current date when the item is added/new. However, the result of this calculation, $reserves_control_branch, is not passed to to the Template Toolkit template: > # pass the userenv branch if no pickup location selected > $template->param( pickup => $pickup || C4::Context->userenv->{branch} ); Instead the wrong value, currently logged in branch is passed. This causes the UI give false warning triangles about not being able to reserve some items even though the reservation works if you ignore those warnings. We should be passing the same branch as we did the availability calculation with, i.e. $reserves_control_branch.
