This column/functionality is not needed often and it would be great if it could be set to hidden by default via the table configuration options. It could be added to Koha's Z39.50/SRU servers administration page. Search filters might include type of library, language, maybe a way to find a target with specialized collections like medical or law. It might also be good to have a way to handle targets that stop working - like a way to test them prior to import and/or a way to flag them for review/removal. There are various websites around where you can pick up new targets, but often you have to trial and error your way to identify if the target works at all, and if the target has the kinds of records you're seeking. Having those categorized better and imported at the push of a button would save time and effort. This means that, even though a default price can be added to an item, staff can always override that price at point of sale by editing it. Some libraries would prefer for this to be an explicit option so for certain items the price is fixed, whilst for others the price may be variable and require staff input to get right. Use case examples: * Pencil - You may have a stock of pencils to sell, a pencil has a fixed price of £1 and staff should not be able to charge more or less.. 'Fixed price' * Book - You may sell off your old stock.. rather than entering a debit type for each and every book you sell you want to have one debit type and to enter a price at the point of sale as advertised on the book itself.. However, it would be beneficial to have 'popular' items appear at the top to prevent the requirement for searching for these items.
