It would also be useful if you could set a hard due date for a library closure. This would be particularly useful for schools. So, let's say it is March. You may have one or more future closures that indicates a hard due date (hard due dates should allow you to specify dates prior to the closure). Koha rules would look at the closest upcoming event/closer that has a hard due date set, and set the existing rules to that date. Once that date has past, it would set the next one that is set, if there is one. If any of these options are set, it would show it in that library's rules or branch (hard due dates in grey on each rule like "before 5/31/2024 (set by calendar)". If you need to, you can specify a hard due date for any rule, and it would ignore the calendar (maybe until it passed???). Hold policy could indicate that it is set by a calendar event. To start up Koha with Elasticsearch: ktd --es8 up (also --es7, os1, and os2) (tested with es7 and es8, os1 and os2 were having trouble starting up for me). 2. To reindex: koha-elasticsearch --rebuild -d -b -a kohadev 3. Note that in Elasticsearch some heading labels for facets are missing in the OPAC (but not in the staff interface or when using Zebra). As far as I can see there is no previous bug for this. Currently, the list of installed languages governs which languages can be chosen as the "Preferred language for notices" for a patron, as well as the languages that notices can be translated into. This is too restrictive, and it should be possible to define a list of active/available "languages for notices", independently of the installed languages. For example, libraries in Finland, Sweden and Norway might want to be able to send out notices in one or more of the Sami languages, even though there are no translations for them (yet). I *think* we could use authorised values for this. As long as the codes in borrowers.lang and letter.lang correspond to each other, it shouldn't matter exactly *what* they are? Or am I missing something?
