Patch doesn't fix the OpacHiddenItems issue but maybe better than nothing. It offers relatively little functionality that is not available in the default search interface and is broadly less familiar and therefore less desirable. While one is in the Cataloging module, the header defaults to Cataloging Search but also offers Search the Catalog. It would be good if we had the option to specify those parameters in a YAML system preference instead. It would be useful to be able to type them in. If I type 9, it's ok. If I want to type 9:55, it doesn't let me. It also doesn't let me type 17.
