(it's time we have actual support, CI for it was disabled due to some other issue) Ubuntu 24.04 has perl 5.38 so it works cleanly. But the next in 2026 will also have this issue. == Test plan == 1. Start a Debian 13 Koha: KOHA_IMAGE=main-trixie ktd up 2. Tons of warnings on start but it ends up starting (see end of this message for the warnings) 3. perl -c mainpage.pl 4. Tons of warnings again 5. restart_all 6. Tons of warnings again 7. Things seem to work though (checkout, checkin, search in staff and OPAC) == Severity== Critical because it looks like Koha is broken. And it will hide actual issues. Debian 12 has v0.01. The feature it self works fine on either, but v2.00 introduced a warning that is making our test suite to fail [1]. On version v2.01 the author fixed the warning [2] To reproduce: 1. Start an Ubuntu 24.04 KTD: $ KOHA_IMAGE=main-noble ktd --name noble up -d 2. Patron's card expires on ...", doesn't appear. This issue happens when the patron comes into the library exactly 30 days from their expiration. In this case, MembershipExpiryDaysNotice = 30 days and NotifyBorrowerDeparture = 30 days. So for example, the patron's expiration date is 05/11/2018. On 4/11/2018 the patron gets their notice, as expected. They come into the library on 4/11/2018 and the checkout message alerting staff to the impending expiration message doesn't show. Checking the same account on 4/12/2018 shows the message "Attention: Expiration: Patron's card will expire soon. Patron's card expires on 05/11/2018 Renew or Edit Details" on the checkout screen.
