[Bug 37774] New: Title level hold should fill even if specific item is not holdable
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 03 Sep '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=37774 Bug ID: 37774 Summary: Title level hold should fill even if specific item is not holdable Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P5 - low Component: Hold requests Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: nick(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com When a patron has a hold on a title that has a mix of holdable and unholdable items we will not fill the hold if the unholdable items are checked out. This is similar to bug 4850, but that seems to be about the check-in response, this is to solve the checkout handling To recreate: 1 - Set a "Default holds policy by item type" rule on "Mixed materials" to "No holds allowed" 2 - Add a Mixed Materials item on a record with items of 'Book' item types that are holdable 3 - Place a hold for a patron 4 - Check out the 'Mixed material' book to the patron (they are allowed to borrow these materials) 5 - The hold is not marked filled! It is common for libraries to have 'New items' or 'Lucky day' items that are nto holdable, but can be checked out by the patron if found on the shelf. Koha should fill the hold when issuing even if the item would not normally be holdable -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 35494] New: SQL auto-complete should not be triggered by closing a quotation

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=35494 Bug ID: 35494 Summary: SQL auto-complete should not be triggered by closing a quotation Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Reports Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: andrewfh(a)dubcolib.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Depends on: 32613 To recreate: - create a new report from SQL - Type 'test' (including the single quotation marks) - observe that the auto-complete popup appears when you type the closing quotation mark - type "test" and see it does the same with double quotation marks This is really unhelpful. If I'm quote-wrapping something, it's because it's a string rather than a field. [Bug 36456] New: Add count of holds on queue to hold queue link
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 03 Sep '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=36456 Bug ID: 36456 Summary: Add count of holds on queue to hold queue link Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Hold requests Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: lisette.scheer(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com I guess a different option for both this and bug 36455 would be to add a link on the home page with patron mods/purchase suggestions for the library's hold queue + count of your library's queue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 40685] New: Self-registration defaults to the first library in the list
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 03 Sep '25

03 Sep '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=40685 Bug ID: 40685 Summary: Self-registration defaults to the first library in the list Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: OPAC Assignee: oleonard(a)myacpl.org Reporter: jrobb(a)sekls.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Patrons often skip the selection of Home library when self-registering because it is already populated by the first library in the list, leading to an influx of often incorrect new accounts for that library. If the Home library dropdown were initially blank, the patron would be forced to make a choice. We currently work around this by adding a blank option to the top of the dropdown with JS: //Blank library option to force a selection $('#opac-patron-registration #borrower_branchcode').prepend("<option value=''></option>").val(''); As an aside, blanking the top option then submitting the form without a branchcode leads to a 500 error, so we had to set branchcode as mandatory in PatronSelfRegistrationBorrowerMandatoryField to avoid that issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 27800] New: Make the ability to enter quantity more clear in Point of Sale module

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=27800 Bug ID: 27800 Summary: Make the ability to enter quantity more clear in Point of Sale module Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Fines and fees Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: kelly(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Currently in the Point of Sale Module, once you add an item to sell, it moves over to the "This Sale" box on the right. There is some small text that says, "Click to edit item cost or quantities" - however, there is no indication that either of these fields is clickable in the table. Could we add a button or option to have librarians see that these are editable fields? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 35033] New: Add a validation for biblioitems in about/system information
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 02 Sep '25

02 Sep '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=35033 Bug ID: 35033 Summary: Add a validation for biblioitems in about/system information Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: About Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: philippe.blouin(a)inlibro.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org In the About section, under the System information tab, we get validation between issues, borrowers, biblio, items, reserves tables, and their deleted/old counterpart. But there's no validation for biblioitems. And yes, on issues during creation, most probably, discrepencies do occur, as I've now discovered on 10 different clients. This patch will simply add the same test (and display) as the others, but for biblioitems. Testing 0) Create a simple biblio entry through cataloguing. Note the biblioitemnumber created. 1) Insert a dummy entry in deletedbiblioitem using the biblioitemnumber. An simple SQL will do insert into deletedbiblioitems select * from biblioitems where biblioitemnumber = GIVENbin; 2) Go to about, see there's no warning in systeminformation. 3) apply the patch, validate that an error appears. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 35947] New: Accounting transactions do not show managing librarian if HidePatronName is set to yes
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 02 Sep '25

02 Sep '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=35947 Bug ID: 35947 Summary: Accounting transactions do not show managing librarian if HidePatronName is set to yes Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P5 - low Component: Fines and fees Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: kelly(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org A new bug 34377: Accounting transactions should show managing librarian info for credits/debits, allows librarians to see the librarian who did the accounting transaction. However, if the system preference, hidepatronname is set to Show, the name of the person is not shown, it says "a patron from X branch". This does not seem helpful nor connected to the hidepatronname system preference description, "Show/Don't Show the names of patrons that have items checked out or on hold on detail pages or the "Place Hold" screen." As this is not the checked out screen or the place hold screen. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.
