To get there: 1. Install another language e.g. ./misc/translator/translate update fr-CA ./misc/translator/translate install fr-CA Enable the language in the language syspref 2. Enable PreservationModule syspref 3. Add a not for loan status in the PreservationNotForLoanWaitingListIn syspref 4. Change the language of the interface 5. Go to Preservation > Waiting list 6. Click Add to waiting list --> The "Barcodes" hint inside the text box is not translated 7. Removing the question mark or escaping it retrieves results, as does enclosing the entire title with the question mark in quotes. Since ? is a wildcard for ElasticSearch, this may be expected behavior (I'm not sure that it is or isn't), but explaining to patrons that they need to change their search behavior can be a big ask for libraries. Not sure what the best option is. The stars don’t have text alternatives, and the links are empty. It would be great to improve this! If you want to test this issue, you can use screen readers like Orca. There are some pages with star ratings: Enable the following system preference: OpacStarRatings (results, details, and patron). -The results page (make a search). -The OPAC details page (choose a record). -Your summary "checked out" page (You have to make a checkout before for your patron account. Misinterpreting layout tables as data tables can confuse users who rely on assistive technologies. For example, a screen reader will interpret the element as a data table and announce the number of rows and columns and the content inside. Often these icons are used alongside text that also describes the content types available. Where this is the case, a screen reader user hears the same content twice. Some decorative images are also announced by their file name. The report has highlighted that for screen readers, these names are often too long and confusing. These findings may impact the experience of screen reader users.
