https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=39998 Bug ID: 39998 Summary: Missing presentation role on layout tables. Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Accessibility Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: nina.martinez(a)biblibre.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk, matt.blenkinsop(a)openfifth.co.uk, oleonard(a)myacpl.org When tables are used for layout purposes, we should add the WAI-ARIA presentation role attributes. Misinterpreting layout tables as data tables can confuse users who rely on assistive technologies. For example, a screen reader will interpret the element as a data table and announce the number of rows and columns and the content inside. By adding role=”presentation”, the screen reader will just read the elements making the content more accessible and easier to understand, without unnecessary information. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 39502] New: Web Usability Accessibility Audit - Decorative Images Don't Need alt Text
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 16 Jul '26

16 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=39502 Bug ID: 39502 Summary: Web Usability Accessibility Audit - Decorative Images Don't Need alt Text Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Accessibility Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: alexander.blanchard(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk, matt.blenkinsop(a)openfifth.co.uk, oleonard(a)myacpl.org The accessibility audit has highlighted that there are icons across the site that are used to define the different types of content available in the library catalogue. Often these icons are used alongside text that also describes the content types available. Where this is the case, a screen reader user hears the same content twice. Some decorative images are also announced by their file name. The report has highlighted that for screen readers, these names are often too long and confusing. These findings may impact the experience of screen reader users. The suggested solution is for purely decorative images to have null alt text. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 39475] New: WCAG 2.1:1.4.10 - Content Reflow

Issue • On mobile and at high-levels of zoom some content does not reflow well. At its worst, content is totally obscured and becomes inaccessible serious, the ‘Advanced search’ link • In some places, the impact is less serious and the content is just difficult to read, rather than being inaccessible e.g. the ‘List’ menu when expanded Solution • Review how the content is presented on mobile and at high zoom levels • If possible, add media queries that cause the page to reflow properly to avoid content overlapping when viewed on certain devices and at certain browser zoom levels • Test all content at 400% zoom to check for any bad effects. No content must be lost at that zoom level (but bear in mind that some low vision users use zoom levels even higher than that) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 40671] New: Rename `revert_waiting` => `revert_found` in Koha::Hold
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 16 Jul '26

16 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=40671 Bug ID: 40671 Summary: Rename `revert_waiting` => `revert_found` in Koha::Hold Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: tomascohen(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org The original method -RevertWaitingStatus- was actually used to revert any `found` status, not just waiting. The `Koha::Hold->revert_waiting()` method implemented on bug 40058 throws an exception if the hold is not waiting. This causes errors in a couple places (reverting in transit holds, reverting in processing holds, etc). We need to document things better and cover all the use cases with tests to avoid this. Will do my best. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.
