[Bug 42396] New: Replace C4::Stats::UpdateStats calls with Koha::Statistic->store

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42396 Bug ID: 42396 Summary: Replace C4::Stats::UpdateStats calls with Koha::Statistic->store Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: trivial Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: martin.renvoize(a)openfifth.co.uk QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Depends on: 19871 C4::Stats::UpdateStats is a trivial legacy wrapper that just calls Koha::Statistic->new($params)->store. All callers should use the Koha::Statistic object directly instead of going through the C4 shim. Callers to update: - Koha::Item::_add_statistic - C4::Circulation - C4::Accounts - Koha::Account - Koha::Recalls - Koha::ILL::Request Once all callers are migrated, C4::Stats can be removed entirely. [Bug 42973] New: Additional contents ordering ignores "Appear in position" when sorting news
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 14 Sep '26

14 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42973 Bug ID: 42973 Summary: Additional contents ordering ignores "Appear in position" when sorting news Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Tools Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: Laura.escamilla(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Target Milestone: --- Bug 39027 changed the default ordering of news items to use the publication date (newest first). However, this change no longer respects the manual "Appear in position" value (additional_content.number). Previously, libraries could assign a position number to pin or manually order specific news items. After Bug 39027, news items are always ordered by publication date, regardless of whether a manual position has been assigned. To recreate: 1. Create two or more news items. 2. Assign an "Appear in position" value to one of the items (for example, 1). 3. Give another news item a more recent publication date. 4. View the news on the OPAC or staff interface. 5. Notice that the newer item is displayed first instead of the item with the assigned position. Expected behavior: If a news item has an "Appear in position" value, that value should take precedence over the default publication date ordering. News items without a manual position should continue to be ordered by publication date (newest first). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 42298] New: "No automatic renewal before" falls back to "No renewal before" if former is greater than the latter
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 14 Sep '26

14 Sep '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42298 Bug ID: 42298 Summary: "No automatic renewal before" falls back to "No renewal before" if former is greater than the latter Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P5 - low Component: Command-line Utilities Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: lari.taskula(a)hypernova.fi QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: robin(a)catalyst.net.nz Although this discovery was made due to a misconfiguration (we actually meant "no automatic renewals before" to have a value smaller than "no renewal before"), I think this finding is still worth reporting. --- Koha has two circulation rules for setting the earliest date a checkout can be renewed: "No renewal before" for manual renewals, and "No automatic renewal before" for automatic renewals. Using automatic renewals, we discovered that if circulation rule "No automatic renewal before" has a value greater than "No renewal before", automatic renewals are actually performed according to the "No renewal before" (manual) rule. Furthermore, this causes another bug where "too_soon" gets written in issues.auto_renew_error, instead of "auto_too_soon" as should be expected when called from the automatic_renewals.pl cronjob. This incorrect error status then causes yet another issue in AUTO_RENEWAL_DGST notices. The default notice template skips autorenewals with "auto_too_soon" error status, but since this bug writes it as "too_soon", the error is unhandled and such failed autorenewals unexpectedly become included in the notice. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. PatronSelfRegistrationBorrowerMandatoryField, find Gender(sex) and mark it as required. 2. Go to the self registration form. No 'Required' label. Also, this field is different because of the radio buttons. You cannot select a non value here so it makes interacting with PatronSelfRegistrationBorrowerMandatoryField weird.
