https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42387 Bug ID: 42387 Summary: [UMBRELLA] Extend Koha::Availability pattern to checkout and hold operations Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: tomascohen(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Depends on: 42385, 42386 This is an umbrella bug for the work to extend the Koha::Availability::Result pattern (introduced in bug 41728 for checkin) to other circulation operations. The pattern provides: - Koha::Availability::Result â generic result envelope (blockers/confirmations/warnings/context) - Koha::Item::<Operation>::Availability â operation-specific orchestrator - no_short_circuit support for API consumers (matching Koha::Patron->can_place_holds) - Policy classes for effective rule resolution This umbrella covers: - Bug 42385: Extract _GetCircControlBranch into Koha::Policy::Circulation - Bug 42386: Unify hold availability checks into Koha::Availability pattern - Future: Checkout availability extraction from CanBookBeIssued Referenced Bugs: https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42385 [Bug 42385] Extract _GetCircControlBranch into Koha::Policy::Circulation https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42386 [Bug 42386] Unify hold availability checks into Koha::Availability pattern -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 43105] New: Detect home directory / project root

If that environmental variable is absent, it can autodetect using the location of the Perl module loading the framework. -- This can be useful for navigating the file system from within the application without having to rely on configuration. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 42921] New: Add Perl::Critic as a dependency

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42921 Bug ID: 42921 Summary: Add Perl::Critic as a dependency Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: dcook(a)prosentient.com.au QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Target Milestone: --- Currently, libperl-critic-perl (ie Perl::Critic) is a dev dependency for Koha which is installed in koha-testing-docker by the "install-packages" Perl script drawing on "package-config.yaml". However, I think that we should add it as a core dependency of Koha, because I would like to start using Perl::Critic for analyzing Koha Plugins and potentially other inputs into Koha. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 20551] New: Add option for including deleted records in export_records.pl
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 19 Jul '26

19 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=20551 Bug ID: 20551 Summary: Add option for including deleted records in export_records.pl Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Command-line Utilities Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: glasklas(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: robin(a)catalyst.net.nz Add an option "--include_deleted" to also include possibly deleted biblios in export. This option can only be used together with --date, and --record-type=biblio. The rational behind this is that use case does not makes much sense (if you are doing a full export, why would you include deleted biblios) and thus some extra complexity can be avoided. Superficially related to https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=17693, not really quite different as this includes the whole biblio-record (with record status set to "d" in leader) in the regular export, not just biblio ids. This is a requirement for synchronizing with the discovery-system we are currently using for example and imho is a more standard and MARC-compliant way of supporting export of record deletions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 42595] New: REST API: Holds controller renders bare strings instead of error objects
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 18 Jul '26

18 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=42595 Bug ID: 42595 Summary: REST API: Holds controller renders bare strings instead of error objects Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P5 - low Component: REST API Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: tomascohen(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: tomascohen(a)gmail.com The Holds controller (Koha::REST::V1::Holds) has three places where error responses are rendered as bare strings instead of the expected error object (`{ error => "..." }`). This causes Mojolicious::Plugin::OpenAPI response validation to fail with a 500: {"errors":[{"message":"Expected object - got string.","path":"/body"}],"status":500} The error definition in the spec has always been `type: object`, so these are latent bugs that surface when the specific code paths are hit. Affected lines in Koha/REST/V1/Holds.pm: 1. Line 134: `openapi => "Bibliographic record not found"` (status 400) - Triggered when biblio_id doesn't exist 2. Line 222: `openapi => 'Error placing the hold...'` (status 500) - Triggered on unhandled exceptions during hold placement 3. Line 242: `openapi => ...to_api_mapping->{$broken_fk} . ' not found.'` (status 404) - Triggered on foreign key violations All three should be: `openapi => { error => $message }` Found in production (25.11.02) when Aspen Discovery attempted to place a hold on a deleted biblio (biblio_id that no longer exists in the database). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 31241] New: PDF export of ANY label is NOT functioning.
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 18 Jul '26

18 Jul '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=31241 Bug ID: 31241 Summary: PDF export of ANY label is NOT functioning. Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 22.05 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: blocker Priority: P5 - low Component: Label/patron card printing Assignee: cnighswonger(a)foundations.edu Reporter: stdominic.novices(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org I've been experimenting and no label type of any kind works when exported as a pdf. Either it is completely jumbled or massive amounts of the data are missing. I've tried batch and selected exporting, redoing the layouts and templates. This is for Patron, barcode, and spine label. I have a similar bug concerning the spine label, but this seems to be a more widespread problem than I first thought. If I try to export a singly selected or any other number that is not the full batch I get an Error 500 message, and if it's the full bath the label is garbled.
