[Bug 40182] New: Tracking patron activity with charges
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 26 Nov '25

26 Nov '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=40182 Bug ID: 40182 Summary: Tracking patron activity with charges Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Patrons Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: katariina.pohto(a)ouka.fi QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle.m.hall(a)gmail.com We're tacking patron activity with lastseen and noticed that accruing charges or paying them does not update the lastseen value. Just in general getting and paying charges is an indication of activity, but we also have some patrons that are using their library card solely for copy charges in libraries that don't have a possibility for direct payment. We have no trace of the activity of these patrons, and managed to even delete some of them when cleaning up inactive patrons. We'd like to be able to add a syspref to TrackLastPatronActivityTriggers for charges. Especially it should be when a charge is (manually) added and when a charge is paid. There will be cronjobs to expire charges and there could be writeoffs that don't require acitivity from the patron, so not just any change in charges is useful for this tracking. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 41312] New: Don't redirect to logout after Shibboleth login
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 26 Nov '25

26 Nov '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=41312 Bug ID: 41312 Summary: Don't redirect to logout after Shibboleth login Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: Authentication Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: magnus(a)libriotech.no QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: dpavlin(a)rot13.org When Shibboleth is enabled, a link with the text "Log in using a Shibboleth account" is presented above the regular login form. The destination of the link varies based on the URL of the login page: If you start on https://example.org/ the link is: https://example.org/Shibboleth.sso/Login?target=https://example.org/cgi-bin… If you start on https://example.org/cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/detail.pl?biblionumber=1 the link is: https://example.org/Shibboleth.sso/Login?target=https://example.org/cgi-bin… And if you just logged out and then want to log in again, you will start on https://example.org/cgi-bin/koha/mainpage.pl?logout.x=1 and the link will be: https://example.org/Shibboleth.sso/Login?target=https://example.org/cgi-bin… But this means that the user is logged out immediately after logging in, which is less than optimal. We should identify when this happens and manipulate the URL so it does not include the logout.x=1 part. A similar problem for OAuth/OIDC was solved in bug 34164. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 28072] New: Z39.50/SRU servers would be a great addition to Mana KB
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 26 Nov '25

26 Nov '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=28072 Bug ID: 28072 Summary: Z39.50/SRU servers would be a great addition to Mana KB Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Mana-kb Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: jrobb(a)sekls.org CC: alex.arnaud(a)biblibre.com It would be very helpful if Mana KB allowed libraries to share, search, and import targets for copy cataloging. It could be added to Koha's Z39.50/SRU servers administration page. Search filters might include type of library, language, maybe a way to find a target with specialized collections like medical or law. It might also be good to have a way to handle targets that stop working - like a way to test them prior to import and/or a way to flag them for review/removal. There are various websites around where you can pick up new targets, but often you have to trial and error your way to identify if the target works at all, and if the target has the kinds of records you're seeking. Having those categorized better and imported at the push of a button would save time and effort. With enough collaboration from the Koha community, this could also lead to a much more robust centralized collection of targets than anything currently available. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. It appears there used to be code for this, but it didn't work and was removed.
