We are getting Patron type just fine. However, it appears that there is no mechanism in SIP at this time to pass along Home library. It is critical that we get this information though as we need to be able to break down actual patron usage among individual patron home libraries. Since Overdrive logs in through SIP using a single SIP login, it becomes obvious AO does not work for this. Koha sends a code 100, meaning "Checkin failed". As expected. The three following characters are: - resensitize - magnetic media - alert And we have a difference on the "alert" character. Koha sends Y, and the test expects N. Description of the "alert" field in the SIP2 documentation from 3M: 1-char, fixed-length field: Y or N. A Y in the alert field will generate an audible sound at the SC. The alert will indicate conditions like articles on hold, articles belonging to another library branch, or other alert conditions as determined by the ACS. The alert signal will alert the library staff to special article handling conditions during discharging operations. As we are testing a case where a problem is occuring (how could a patron check in if the item was not checked out?!), I actually think that the "alert" should be expected by the test, leading to a pattern like "^100YNY". But maybe is this "alert" actually outside of the scope of this test, the important result being that the string begins with "100". Thus the checking pattern could be "^100YN[NY]". I'll make a patch with the latest solution, but it's of course open to discussion, as I'm not 100% sure about how this test is supposed to react. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

IRC conversation with Owen Leonard today indicates that ACPL doesn't use them at present. The commit message also says that "they don't work 100% with stock 3.0 yet". All three scripts make reference to a column that doesn't exist, biblioitems.ccode, and attempts to run them result in a lot of warning messages. There's been next to no work on them over the years. This is because the Browse Results links are stored in the session rather than encoded in the URLs. I think it needs more behind-the-scenes knowledge than even OPAC power users will have before you expect that behaviour, but power users open results pages in tabs. The obvious fix is to encode the session parameter busc in the URLs rather than the session. Galen suggested: [I have no objection to a patch that removes them, but it would be a niceness to look over the individual tests and see which ones can be easily ported to the current DB-dependent test framework.] Since these unit tests are not used now, they only generate unnecessary maintenance; they are regularly updated for nothing. I propose to remove them rightaway. But with Galen's suggestion in mind, I will walk through them (placed outside the Koha codebase) in the next couple of months to see if we can still retrieve some additional tests and inject them in the active db_dependent unit tests. Anyone else who wants to join that activity is welcome; you can easily retrieve these files from git. Please let me know if you do.
