[Bug 33898] New: background_jobs_worker.pl may leave defunct children processes for extended periods of time
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 19 Mar '24

19 Mar '24

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=33898 Bug ID: 33898 Summary: background_jobs_worker.pl may leave defunct children processes for extended periods of time Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: kyle(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org It appears that the background jobs worker can leave defunct processes for periods of time. Though it is mostly harmless, it would be nice if that did not happen. Children are reaped automatically when start or wait_all_children are called. We only call start when a new job is found, and wait_all_children after exiting our while loop. The solution is to simply call reap_all_children after we sleep. This is a non-blocking call that will clean up those defunct processes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 35911] New: Archived suggestions show in patron's account
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 19 Mar '24

19 Mar '24

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=35911 Bug ID: 35911 Summary: Archived suggestions show in patron's account Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Acquisitions Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: caroline.cyr-la-rose(a)inlibro.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org I don't know if this was meant as an enhancement or it's a regression, but since 22.11, archived suggestions show in the patron's "Suggestions" tab in the staff interface. It has been reported by many of our clients as a bug, so if it was intended, maybe we should add a syspref to hide them? To recreate: 1. Go to a patron's account in the staff interface 2. Go to the Suggestions tab 3. Click New purchase suggestion and create a suggestion 4. In another browser tab, go to Acquisitions > Suggestions 5. Click the small arrow next to the edit button to the right of the suggestion, and choose Archive (alternatively, check the suggestion's box and click Archive selected) --> Suggestion disappears from the suggestions management page (OK) 6. Go back to the tab with the patron's account and refresh --> Suggestion is still visible Prior to 22.11, archived suggestions were not visible in the patron's account. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 35718] New: Remove ES6 warnings from JavaScript system preferences
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 19 Mar '24

19 Mar '24

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=35718 Bug ID: 35718 Summary: Remove ES6 warnings from JavaScript system preferences Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: lucas(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org When using any of the UserJS system preferences there are warnings if you use any ES6 features/syntax. To recreate: 1. Add some JS like this to any of the UserJS system preferences: $(document).ready( function() { let something = 1; const another_thing = 2; let an_arrow_function = (a, b) => a + b; console.log( an_arrow_function(something, another_thing) ); }); 2. Notice the icons and warnings to the left of the line numbers: let is available in ES6 const is available in ES6 arrow_function_syntax is available in ES6 ES6 syntax is pretty commonly used now, I don't think we need those warnings. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 31427] New: Automatic renewal too_many error is confusing in notices

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=31427 Bug ID: 31427 Summary: Automatic renewal too_many error is confusing in notices Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Notices Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: lucas(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org I am not sure if this error, too_many, should be removed or just handled differently. It is confusing for patrons, here is why: Day 1, a patron gets an email telling them an item has been successfully renewed. It is auto renewal 5/5, the item will no longer renew. Day 2: The next a patron receives a new auto renewal message telling them the same item, from yesterday, cannot be renewed. Patrons are confused. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.
