This bug acts to correct that by implementing an optimized algorithm for picking the item at booking time to try and maximize the pool of available items for future bookings. We should send the logged-in library when enqueueing the notice. We should also high the notice from the Add Message form if the user is not logged in at the correct branch. To recreate: 1. Ensure WhenLostChargeReplacementFee is set to "Charge" and that "Refund lost item replacement fee" in circ rules is set to "refund lost item charge". 2. Check out an item that has a replacement cost. 3. Set the item to lost. 4. Go to the Accounting tab and view Transactions. 5. Cancel the charge. 6. Return the item. Note that the patron now has a credit. This does not appear to be the case when a fine is written off. I also question whether canceling a fee should mark and item as Paid as I've always viewed "Cancel charge" as an "oops" button when someone accidentally makes something lost, so it probably shouldn't set the item to paid. Make sure you have a ciculation rule that allows you to renew 1-2. set the AllowRenewalLimitOverride system preference to Allow and SpecifyDueDate to Allow 2. Check out the item to a Borrower 5. Access the borrower's account and renew it until the limit is reached and note the due date. 6. Go to Circulation, click Renew 7. Enter the item barcode and choose a due date further than the due date from step 5 and submit 8. Please delete it if it is duplicated: After updating from version 23.11 to 24.05, the renewal for a specific date is not working anymore. Although I give a specific date for a specific renewal, the system takes automatically the hard due date from the circulation rules. e.g. In "Administration > Circulation rules" I save "15.08.2024" as hard due date for a specific item type and patron category. Then I go to one patron of the above category to renew his borrowed items, and manually select "30.07.2024" as due date. -> The system renews the items until 15.08.24. But this is not accurate and does not reflect the exact search result that is displayed in the table. This is because column filters can used after we submitted the form (on the left). It would be really useful to be able to specify what data type an additional attribute should be when it is created, like you can specify whether it has to be unique, or is repeatable. e.g. we might want it to be a DATE, or possibly a DATETIME, or we may indeed want a STRING, or an INT, or a DECIMAL etc - it really depends on what a given library is using the attributes for, and how they might want to run reports against it.
