We also require that the staff put their initials in borrower attribute each time the account is edited or updated, and this step is getting missed because they are not going into the patron form. It would be helpful if we could require that the renew link only be available in the memberentry.pl page. It would be even better if instead of showing a renew link, that if the account is expired, that a dropdown be selected to renew and the form saved.
