[Bug 39868] New: koha-common fails to install on trixie
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 15 Dec '25

15 Dec '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=39868 Bug ID: 39868 Summary: koha-common fails to install on trixie Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Packaging Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: tomascohen(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: mtj(a)kohaaloha.com The reason for this, is an issue with `rabbitmq-server`. The shipped configuration lacks some entries pointing to the plugin install dir, or the install dir doesn't exist. To reproduce: ```shell $ docker run -ti debian:trixie bash $ apt update ; apt install -y rabbitmq-server $ rabbitmq-plugins enable rabbitmq_stomp ``` The last command is what `koha-common.postinst` runs then the `koha-common` package is installed/upgraded. Hence the failure This is a `trixie` bug to keep an eye on. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. You are the assignee for the bug.

[Bug 41446] New: xt/find-missing-new-lines-at-the-end-of-file.t - doesn't check .pref files for missing new line at the end of the file
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 14 Dec '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=41446 Bug ID: 41446 Summary: xt/find-missing-new-lines-at-the-end-of-file.t - doesn't check .pref files for missing new line at the end of the file Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P5 - low Component: Test Suite Assignee: chris(a)bigballofwax.co.nz Reporter: david(a)davidnind.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Bug 40541 added tests to check for files that are missing a new line at the end of file. It does not check the .pref files in koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/admin/preferences When running the qa check for bug 41427 (before the follow-up patch), it generated a QA warning "Missing new line at the end of file, make sure your editor correctly reads .editorconfig ('insert_final_newline = true'). See bug 40541.". I think there are also two additional preference files that do not have a new line at the file: - cataloguing.pref - interlibrary-loans.pref The qa script generates a warning if you make changes to the files (and if, for whatever reason, you have an editor that doesn't have insert_final_newline = true set). Should xt/find-missing-new-lines-at-the-end-of-file.t check .pref files as well? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 31113] New: Permission change to so user can use marc modification template only when adding or editing single record
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 12 Dec '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=31113 Bug ID: 31113 Summary: Permission change to so user can use marc modification template only when adding or editing single record Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Tools Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: aspencatteam(a)clicweb.org QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Would like to see a permission to allow the application of marc modification template to single record, without having the permission to do batch record modification. This would allow admin to create marc modification template that a novice cataloger could use to supply certain fields they probably would not know to change. (Like in leader, 008, 007). We would not want them to be able to do batch record modification - just use template on single record. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. [Bug 41442] New: check_api_auth can fail to authenticate service user if userid is not same as cardnumber
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 12 Dec '25

12 Dec '25

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=41442 Bug ID: 41442 Summary: check_api_auth can fail to authenticate service user if userid is not same as cardnumber Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org If check_api_auth() ends up doing internal authentication of a service user whose userid is not the same as its cardnumber, the password can get successfully validated but the overall authentication can fail. This is because, like other authentication pathways, it's possible to pass a cardnumber to identify the user to check_api_auth() and have checkpw() successful validate the password. However, after checkpw() is called, the authentication must pass haspermission(), which _requires_ that it always be passed the userid. Other authentication pathways will result in $userid getting set correctly before it's passed to haspermission(), but check_api_auth() doesn't currently do that. One way that this can manifest is that if you have set up a service user for the OCLC Connexion importer whose cardnumber is not the same as the userid, the importer's attempts to authenticate itself to Koha can subtly fail. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
