[Bug 34121] New: Improve performance of Koha::Plugins::call
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 29 Oct '26

29 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=34121 Bug ID: 34121 Summary: Improve performance of Koha::Plugins::call Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: master Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Plugin architecture Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: kyle(a)bywatersolutions.com QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Koha::Plugins::call() uses get_enabled_plugins to get all enabled plugins, including plugins that do not have the method to be called. In addition, get_enabled_plugins uses can_load to evaluate plugis, but call already uses eval to call methods making the use of can_load and $plugin_class->new() superfluous and wasteful. We should filter out all enabled plugins that do not match the plugin method being called and allow the eval in call() to handle plugin error handling. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=38384 Bug ID: 38384 Summary: General fix for plugins breaking database transactions Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Architecture, internals, and plumbing Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: philip.orr(a)lmscloud.de QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org In Bug 36736, a call to get_enabled_plugins was added to background jobs to ensure plugins wouldn't break the database transaction. We need a fix for this problem in general (Database transactions breaking due to plugin hooks being called), not just for background jobs. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. [Bug 40704] New: When item is deleted, title disappears from reading history creating a useless entry
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 29 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=40704 Bug ID: 40704 Summary: When item is deleted, title disappears from reading history creating a useless entry Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: 24.11 Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P5 - low Component: OPAC Assignee: oleonard(a)myacpl.org Reporter: katrin.fischer(a)bsz-bw.de QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org When an item that was formerly checked out to a user is deleted, it leaves an empty entry in their circulation history in the OPAC. Star ratings and date will display, the rest of the cells, including the title information, will be empty. To test: * Activate opacreadinghistory * Check out an item to your user * Confirm circulation history in OPAC shows it * Check in the item and delete it * Verify that now the reading history has an (almost) empty line -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 20732] New: Display the note tab for records without items.
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 29 Oct '26

29 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=20732 Bug ID: 20732 Summary: Display the note tab for records without items. Change sponsored?: --- Product: Koha Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: OPAC Assignee: oleonard(a)myacpl.org Reporter: patrick.robitaille(a)collecto.ca QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org Hi, when we have a record who have no items, it would be great to displays the note tab first instead of holdings. It would be useful for the records of electronic resources who don't have items. Having the notes tab put forward would avoid one more click for relevant information. It could be a system preference like opacSerialDefaultTab but for the records without items. Thanks, Patrick. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 41129] New: Migrate place_booking.js to a Vue island.
by bugzilla-daemon＠bugs.koha-community.org 29 Oct '26

29 Oct '26

https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=41129 Bug ID: 41129 Summary: Migrate place_booking.js to a Vue island. Initiative type: --- Sponsorship --- status: Product: Koha Version: Main Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 - low Component: Circulation Assignee: koha-bugs(a)lists.koha-community.org Reporter: paul.derscheid(a)lmscloud.de QA Contact: testopia(a)bugs.koha-community.org CC: gmcharlt(a)gmail.com, kyle(a)bywatersolutions.com Since the bookings functionality requires a significant amount of reactivity due to many interdependent inputs to achieve a good UX, this bug is intended to deprecate place_booking.js in favor of a Vue island that makes this much easier. The goal here is to have a Vue based component that is used for the Staff Interface as well as the OPAC to avoid duplication and diverging implementations and also makes it easier to keep track of problems that then don't need to be fixed in two places. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. Check job progress.") It would be nice if this information were automatically updated once the job is completed ("Job for report type DR is completed. Check job details.")
