Hi guys, It seems that the marriage is very stable, some english files in the value_builder directory are originally in french. I don't oppone since UNIMARC will probably be the most appropriate in France. I have a question though, I assumeKoha will support USMARC or MARC21 (I PRESUME IT IS ONE AND THE SAME THING). Any clarifications? Thanks, Benedict

Branches in Koha

Good Day to all, Since I do not have a working version of Koha, can anyone explain to me how branches in Koha work? I mean the template files say that a user can choose a preferred branch to pick up a reserved book...is there an exchange protocol specific to Koha that allows for online updates pertaining to who, where and what book was reserved and is waiting for a patron? the budgets allowed to differents book funds. OK, Now some joke ! In file admin-home.tmpl one can find the line saying: the bugdet the budgets allowed to differents book funds. My question is: shouldn't it say: the budget the funds allowed to different book budgets? One first sets a budget and then allocates funds for them, right? I suggest we say "the funds allowed to different book budgets".... because we probably have a limit for spending money to meet a budget (that was supposedly set by a committee, or anybody). Hi koha developpers, Benedikt started to translate templates to polish (thanks to him) but he made some mistakes when commiting his work : some templates are commited in the ENGLISH directory. I asked him to correct this if possible. But until everything is corrected, don't be surprised if you get some screens in polish in your uptodate-cvs-koha !!! I was reading the docs and started to type some changes. The document seems to need a fairly major rewrite for 1.4 :( I came across the following issues. The templating is not addressed in the translation section. Polish no longer seems to be under active development. (I could not find a link to the polish version. Just the polish images.) Several new languages seem to be under development. :) The MARC status has improved. :) It is my understanding that Koha is now MySql specific (Version 1.3) Win32 has an installer and is now a viable platform. the z3950 daemon needs better documentation. The appendix needs added to. The patch attached has some updated URLs, a hopefully more accurate translation list, MySql is now listed as semi-mandatory, and better references to the win32 port.
