How to make self-referential URLs in Koha

Hi all, With some recent code, I've been using creating self-referential URL in Koha using CGI->url(), and passing it as a value. With CGI, the URL is correct (ie starting with /cgi-bin/koha). With Plack, it's not, because the OPAC is mounted as "/opac". I worked around this by rewriting the self-referential URL in my code, but I was wondering if anyone else had any thoughts on this. I've noticed there are a few places in Koha where we use CGI->url() and I'm guessing we may have unexpected bugs in Plack-enabled Koha as a result. Of course, one workaround would be to have /opac and /intranet aliases or URL rewriting in Apache, so that the self-referential URLs created by Plack still end up resolving. I wonder if that's the easiest path forward. In the past, I have wondered if we could get rid of "/cgi-bin/koha" as a path prefix all together (especially as cgi-bin scares security tools), but it's so deeply embedded in Koha at this point that it seems a huge task to replace it. Embed see-from headings (authorities) into bibliographic records at OAI repository level

Hi all, An enhancement idea : It could be interesting to enrich the bibliographic records exposed in OAI with see-from headings, this would allow users who use koha with a discovery tool to be able to manage, normalize and index some authorities data ? This is something that could be done directly in C4::Biblio::GetMarcBiblio following the same method used for embedding items. We could use an optional parameter like embed_items (embed_seefromheading) and a function similar to C4::Biblio::EmbedItemsInMarcBiblio by reusing what was made for zebra with EmbedSeeFromHeadings (bug #7417 <https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=7417>). Hello dear Koha community, another year is coming to an end. It's time to turn our attention to the new year that's coming up, full of possibilities! If you or your organization would like to organize KohaCon22, please enter all relevant information on this wiki page: https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/KohaCon22_Proposals (if you do not already have an account to edit the wiki, you can request one, it is usually pretty fast to get access). The community has agreed that KohaCon conferences must be either hybrid with an in-person conference streamed online, or entirely online. Apart from keeping the community members safe, this will also allow for greater accessibility, so that everyone can attend and learn from each other no matter their availability, ability to travel, or budget. Know that the community stands behind anyone who volunteers to organize and that help is always available if you're unsure how to proceed. Call for proposals will end on January 8, 2022 at 23:59 UTC. Hi, We are getting close to end date for KohaCon22 proposals, January 8. Unfortunately there is actually no proposal : https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/KohaCon22_Proposals This as been discussed in last dev meeting. https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Development_IRC_meeting_22_December_20… The world situation on Covid-19 virus is not helping, we hope it will be better soon. First we suggest to extend end date to mid-February. Second we suggest to allow proposals outside eligible continents, keeping priority to actual ones. We may have full-online proposals, we will see. API error responses change

Hi all, I wanted to mention that I've submitted patches for bug 28020 [1]. The change introduces a new attribute to the generic error response object that is reused everywhere in the spec. The new attribute is called 'error_code' and is intended to be adopted so API consumers have better means to deal with error responses. Remember that right now we return an error status (e.g. 409) and a (too) generic description in textual form (e.g. Conflict found). A good use case for this can be seen here [2], in which we already have a handy error string, but we translate it to some text, while we should be returning the error_code attribute, and have it documented on the spec as proposed on bug 28020. Early feedback is welcome, as I would base several things on top of this! THANKS!
