How to get CAS based Single Sign On working?

Hi All, I have a situation where we have a main website based on Joomla. This Joomla site uses CAS to authenticate users. We would like users ( who have already logged in to the Joomla site via CAS) to be able to follow a link to Koha site and be logged in automatically ( e.g. Single Sign On ). I have got simple CAS ( not proxy CAS ) working with Koha ( version 3.2.6 ) using the same CAS server as used by Joomla site. Still when I login to Joomla site with CAS, and then go to Koha and click on login and follow the CAS login link, I am asked to fill up CAS login information again. How can this be avoided by using CAS SSO? I have read through http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/SSO_CAS_improvements and am confused by the statement "Note: simple sso cas support (no proxy) has been done already by biblibre, is in testing and should be released in Koha 3.2" in there. Does this statement mean that SSO is possible with simple CAS? If yes how to set it up? If not, I have also read through bugs 6012, 5630 and the CAS Proxy examples. Frankly I haven't been able to figure out how I can achieve the above required functionality based on all the reading. Any help is much appreciated.. Another related query is, Is it possible to automatically create users in Koha once they have authenticated with CAS? Our cataloguers have asked for additional precision in specific stacks -- 952$j "Shelving control number" would appear to be perfect :=) However, any value entered (eg: LLF15 -- loose leaf folder #15) systematically saves as 0 and SchemaSpy doesn't appear to even mention this field which is in the "default template" with no apparent restrictions. Can anyone with good "corporate memory" of 952$j use and programming please assist? Many thanks and best regards -- Paul

Hello QA - http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=11703 We just had a few little follow up's on the QA and we've completed those about a month ago and need a little QA follow up. They do apply cleanly currently. Anything I can do to help encourage someone to look at those last 2 follows and passed them for QA? I'd love to get this into 3.16.1 or 3.16.2 ASAP. Hi, I'm currently replacing C4::SQLHelper by DBIx::Class in order to remove the module C4::SQLHelper from Koha (see bug 11385 <http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=11385>). I've already posted two patchs with this in mind : bug 12482 <http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=12482> and bug 12487 <http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=12487>. Trick and Tip for Template Toolkit

Hie developers, I've been looking several monthes for a solution for Bug 11357. The problem is : a hash key has the same name as a TT method (size). I did not found a general page for templates. Next dev meeting

Hi fellows, we haven't set a date for the next development IRC meeting yet. With an idea of having 3-weeks long development sprints, and trying to make de development meetings serve as retrospective review of what we've achieved (or not) in that period i propose: - That the next dev meeting is held on July 2nd; at the same hours as usual: part 1: 15UTC part 2: 22UTC - Set a 3-week frecquency for this meetings, unless stated otherwise on each occasion. Hope we can agree on the date at least. Before pushing it (it is PASSED-qA) I need to hear your opinion on this. Hi everyone, I've been away from keyboard for more than a week as you may have noticed. Sorry for any delays answering your emails. Jenkins As I advertised in a previous email to the koha-devel list, I've been working on setting new jenkins nodes for improving our test environments. For that purpose I've set (for now) three new nodes: - Ubuntu_12_04 - Ubuntu_14_04 - Debian_7 They are currently being used for testing the 'master' branch. I have configured them in a way we can also test the following stable branches on the same nodes (thanks Galen for the sample scripts): - 3.12.x - 3.14.x - 3.16.x My main concern is that this tests should me meaningfull, and should trigger actions from us (the devs). For the current RMaints: please let me know if you need something about this. Or if you need your stable branch be run on a specific platform. Unit tests There were some concerns on tha list a while ago about some tests being missed by the current script (the one that launches the tests); please feel free to contact me on that subject and comment openly on this thread. I'll be revisiting the scripts a bit (Note: i'm doing this in parallel with the current configuration for those who rely on the current). Jonathan said that Biblibre was working with an intern on improving coverage of the unit tests. If you need the RM to provide aid just let me know. I'm currently concerned about some tests failing: On Debian7: http://jenkins.koha-community.org/job/Koha_Master_D7/lastCompletedBuild/tes… On Ubuntu12.04: http://jenkins.koha-community.org/job/Koha_Master_U12/lastCompletedBuild/te… On Ubuntu14.04 (a.k.a. And please help me identify (for the 5.18 related bugs) which are bugs, and which are bugs on the Unit Tests. Failing tests Some tests are failing because of information absent from the test database. Please take a look at: http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=10337 so we can soon take the "In Discussion" status out any time soon. Final note: There will always be room for improvement. Thanks! P.S. Since I started writing this email I added the 3.16.x and 3.14.x branches to this testing schema.
