[IMPORTANT] I have commited 2 changes in MARC editor : - npl templates worked well for cloneSubfield, default one didn'\''t. I couldn'\''t understand why, so I ported npl template to default & just updated the stylesheet. - npl templates were awfully indented, so I indented them a little bit - I thought for months that the idea of 10 tabs passed separately was crazy. So I fixed it : now there is just 1 (ONE) tab described in templates, that is looped by BIG_LOOP. The BIG_LOOP is filled by the build_tabs. Works the same way as previously, except there is just 1 tab described in templates !!! Things still to do : - making cloneTag work correctly - handle authorities popup, that is broken - handle authorities reporting, that is broken too. working on them now. Components in the bugtracker

Hello koha-devel, Here is the list of "components" for "product" Koha in our bugtracker. I think we should modify some default assignee. Bugzilla requires a default assignee for each component. It would be good to be able to set no default assignee, so that we could look for all bugs without assignee. Z39.50 issues

Hello all, I have just set up Koha 2.2.5 to be used by a cataloging class and possibly for use by a very small non-profit. Overall, things seem to be working well, but I am having an issue with the Z39.50 client used to import records. The Z39.50 is able to successfully search the Library of Congress and it finds records successfully. However, after it finds a record the problems begin. If I don't manage to click on the add the record link right away, the pop-up window will reload and redirect itself to an invalid URL, resulting in a 404 error that states: Not Found The requested URL /cgi-bin/koha/z3950/0 was not found on this server. major problem in MARC editor decoding

Hello the list (& more specifically joshua) It seems that the CloneTag & cloneSubfield subs have a major problem : the cloned subfield/tag are not passed to the CGI array. Confusion over this bit of code in Circ2.pm

Branch Categories

Hi All At our meeting on IRC this morning Paul asked me to write a brief explanation of branch categories and what they can be used for. The easiest way is with an example. You could make a category, IS for issuing Then you can go my $branches = getbranches('IS'); Which will get you all branches that are of that category. This is useful for libraries that have branches that cant issue. So you can use this call in the script which chooses which branch you will be issuing for. Or RE for Reserve Pickups Then on the opac-reserve.pl you could do $branches = getbranches('RE'); Then you will only be giving the users the list of branches they can pick reserves up from. A branch can belong to more than one category also, so it can be RE, IS, etc But you could have a 'branch' which is called Mending, which doesnt show up in circulation, or reserves, but you can transfer books to this branch when they need to be mended etc. Or like one of our clients you might have 4 physical branches, but only 3 of them can circulate books. It just allows you flexibility I hope this helps, please ask more questions if I havent been clear enough. Hello all, I think we have almost solved the 2 main problems with rel_2_2 : * encoding problems : joshua get rid of unicode ones & I get rid of the remaining iso-8859-1 one. I made something i'm not very proud of : Joshua introduced a TemplateEncoding system preference that can be either iso8859-1 or utf8. If it is set to iso8859-1, there are a lot of encoding problems : MARC::File::XML don't like it, as MARC::Record is supposed to work in MARC8 or UNICODE. Thus, it seems that all accents are transformed in the process html => xml => marc. Thus, i've reintroduced the html => marc behaviour if the TemplateEncoding is set to iso8859-1 (i've fixed the html2marc as joshua proposed previously, fixing a remaining bug) This solution is a workaround : we will have to find a correct solution for Koha 3.0, to move every Koha to UNICODE and UNICODE only. But for instance, I tried some things but failed. Thust this solution, that works correctly for french libraries and should change nothing for unicode ones.' 'acqui.simple/addbiblio.pl' 2>&1 * MARC editor, cloneTag problem : when duplicating a tag, there was 2 problems : - the mandatory flags where no more properly affected. I solved this problem by moving color change on Check to the field itself, not to error$i container. Error$i container is now useless and removed. I also changed active color to grey, yellow being for mandatory fields. - when you duplicate a field with an authority, the value is still reported to the 1st field. When you duplicate the 1st authority, the container name is set to index+index, so you get 2 "indexindex" containers. I still have to solve this problem, but that should not bee too hard I think. Kados : I didn't modified NPL templates, I let you do this. ROADMAP : ========== I hope I'll find some more time to work on this version next week, working on translation to french, and maybe install it to one of my libraries. So, this next version should be officially released on 12th / 13th. what could be it's name ? 2.2.6 or 2.4.0 ? That will be discussed on monday (note for everybody : monday is closed in France.
