Hi, If i want to see total number of inserted books,cds,dvds, journals and others which are inserted into my Koha 3.0 server, what i need to do? I went to: Reports --> Statistics Wizards --> Catalog But, nothing is showing but only 0. But, my inserted items are 5,000 approximately. i want to know the exact figure. -- Best, Zico

First association/foundation poll results

Here are the results of the Koha Foundation Desires poll at http://doodle.com/bubb4xrqs54qgpwx More than 75% of respondants support the Koha foundation/association doing these things:- 1. ensure the ongoing shared governance of the project = 32 out of 35 = 91.43% 2. owning koha.org = 16 out of 18 = 88.89% 3. secure the Koha name = 31 out of 35 = 88.57% 4. Conference on Koha for 2010 NOT KOHACON NZ

I wanted to see what type of interest there is in another conference in the US and who would be willing to help/host/committee/present... There has been lots of discussion about other issues, but thought we should refocus our energy to helping each other. I know Chris is working on a conference in NZ - KohaCon 2010 anniversary - but many of us I know won't be able to attend. I don't want to take any thunder from that though as well... What are peoples thoughts - concerns... Some people indicated if there is no other option than NZ maybe their administration would let them go to NZ - I want to hear what people have to say. Google transliteration for koha opac. Trouble with IE..

Hi all, I need a bit of help I am trying to integrate google transliteration with koha opac search box. This makes it easier to search indian language keywords for english keyboard users. I have it working with Firefox at www.granthalaya.org; but in IE I dont get the language selection box. The transliteration still works but the language selection dropdown does not appear. I cant make out anything from the error message displayed either. The error says "line: 40 char: 243 unexpected call to method or property access.Code : 0" If I use the same google transliteration code in a simple html page in IE it works. So I am doubly puzzled so as to where to look for the problem. What could it be? Can someone please have a look at the site in both IE and Firefox and suggest something? Hi Zico, This is a (simple) saved Report that we use: SELECT location, count(barcode) , sum(replacementprice) FROM items GROUP BY location ORDER BY location asc Hope it helps. (Plus, this tells us how much the replacment value of the library stock is!) RFC: Modification to Fines System

Here is my problem, and my proposed solution. One of our libraries is requesting a breakdown of payments by day, by account type. That is, they want a report the gives the total amount paid for Late Fees, for Damaged Books, and for Lost Books. Apparently, they have separate money accounts for each. In Koha as it stands, there is no direct way to connect a payment to a particular accountline that was paid. The least invasive idea I have is to add a new column to accountlines ( say, accountno_paid ) for payments. Each payment would then refer to the fine or charge that it was paid against. The largest difference, is that instead of one large payment that runs down the amountoutstanding field for a number of charges, the total payment would need to be broken down into a series of smaller payments, one for each accountno paid on. For example, suppose that a borrower has 3 items with and overdue fine of $5.00 each, and the borrower is paying in full. The current version would create a payment line of $15, and then set the amountoutstanding to $0.00 for each of the 3 accountno's. The revamped system would still set the amountoutstanding to $0.00 for each accountno, but would create three separate payment lines, one for each of the 3 accountno's, and the accountno paid on would be stored in accountno_paid. I don't think this would break any existing reports or functionality. Does this sound like a reasonable solution? Or have I missed something that may solve my problem without code? hello there I have developed a database using Koha. It is a great system, easy to use, powerful. I need to add a feature to the system , but I am not a programmer. I need someone to do this for me and I am willing to pay for all the work.
